There's no doubt Dana played a role in where UFC got to, but he's done everything he can and at this point he's just holding it back. Time to pass the torch and bring in some new blood with new ideas.

Dana White has ALREADY brought the sport to new levels and it has grown from a sport that was $8 million in debt to being sold for $2 billion dollars!! It has grown from arenas that hold 2000 people to Madison square garden! You say the sport will " never grow" under Dana? You don't know history. He will never get "elite level athletes"? Who in any sport is a higher level athlete than a UFC fighter? Are you saying that GSP, Jon Jones, Olympic caliber athletes like Daniel Cormier, Rhonda Rousey, and others are NOT elite level athletes? You are greatly mistaken and uninformed my friend! Well I think Lorenzo deserves most of the credit. You remember how TUF save the UFC? That was all Lorenzo. Dana was actually 100% against it, but Lorenzo insisted and put the money up.

There are now 4 divisions of women in the UFC.

Jon Jones wasn't treated badly, if anything the reverse he was allowed to get away with too much which probably helped him go off the rails so badly.

From a business stand out I think WME need to look at Dana playing favourites. I mean I can understand favouring McGregor or Lesnar as they bring in hell of a lot of money but guys like Bisping seem to be Dana's boy getting preferential treatment dispite never really drawing much. Cain as well was I think favoured for far too long when his real success was actually quite limited.

Dana has always been about the fans. If the fans are pissed, he's pissed. If the fans are happy, he's happy.

The fans are the same guys following him around doing interviews with him all the time. These fans always bring up these questions directly to him, so he has a pulse on the matter so to speak.

Unfortunately for Dana, and the fans, WME will never have direct contact with the fighters or the fans. They're a white collar entity that wouldn't dare step down among the filth that is MMA, and they're the link between fighter pay and growth of the sport.

So you could say at this point, Dana is irrelevant, and UFC is dying.
