Conor's worst moments against Mendes

Conor has a crazy chin. Mendes was thought of as possibly the hardest hitting featherweight and he ate everything thrown at him, then proceeded to destroy him
 
Dude showed a lot of heart In that fight imo. Looked like a rough weight cut, fought a wrestler on 2 weeks notice, dealt with some adversity n the way he came on strong @ the end was some warrior shit.

Chad put up a good fight.
 
Haters still salty about the lack of the camp, even though the fight was done in under 2 rounds so it's not like you're even legitimately complaining like say if Mendes was finished in the 5th, despite the fact that one of the reasons why Mendes' ground game failed was because Conor started beating the shit out of him from the bottom. Which made Mendes not even want to be there, even though that's where he was supposed to be safe. Being prepared for 5 rounds isn't going to suddenly change that Conor surprised Mendes with his aggressive ground game when Chad thought Conor wouldn't be able to do anything.

There's nothing from what actually happened that would suddenly turn the fight around if Chad was ready for 5 rounds. Conor was too much on the feet, and causing too much damage on the ground. This was exacerbated by Chad's gas tank, but was not a symptom of it. It was Conor being too much and Chad not having an answer that worked.

Camp or 2 week camp, you're still going to end up with the same deer in the headlights right before Conor KO'd him because Chad simply didn't have an answer for Conor and didn't know what to do. It was be outstruck or be elbowed to the dome.

The real difference was Conor didn't hesitate like Chad started to.

sucks that chad only had one week to get ready for that fight. he clearly gassed.
 
If your worst moments in a fight that long come to 19 seconds, you did pretty well.
 
Conor had some nice moments, but Chad was winning most of the standup in that fight as well. Was fucking crazy how Conor was just eating all those hard shots and calling him on at start of the 2nd round.

It’s brought up in literally every discussion about this fight.

And sorry, I don’t think Mendes gasses in one round on the first day of camp, let alone after two weeks of training. He gasssed because Conor forced him to.
