I'm going to take a moment to be an internet tough guy lol (but not directed to you so please don't take it this way)

Personally for myself, (this Marine) if some foreign soldier(s) came into my country, my state, my city, my home and starts poking around or thinking he can tell me what I can do, or try to enforce laws that pertain to me as a citizen and he's (obviously a foreign national) we're going to have problems. Like my foot breaking off his ass problems.

I'll respect *my country's* authority. I'm not going to let some foreign clown tell me how to do shit in my own home.

My post wasn't very well thought out and in hindsight I would not support such an action . ..

It just seems that no one gives a fuck about this community...

I guarantee it's not that no one cares. But with the vilifying of the police and mainstream media lusting for any way possible to spread fuck the police propaganda, we have affectively cut the balls off of our local law enforcement agencies to do anything.

No cop is going to put his neck on the line to do observation stops when he's being told that by being proactive he is being racist and setting him up for being sued.

For the city of Chicago it's the people who have failed the people due to the power of propaganda and refusing to do what is right.

We're in a society now where Evil is honored as good and good is regarded as evil.

That show of force should be from the sovereignty of the United States government and its appropriate resources.

It's not uncommon for AFTE , FBI, and DEA to work with law enforcement agencies to clean up messes like this. It actually did wonders for the city of Los Angeles during the Clinton era and has been utilized by the LAPD and sheriffs offices in the area ever since.

We don't some damn foreign military representatives in our nation.

I agree, however, nothing has been done up to this point. If I was too poor to leave, stuck in a gang infested area of the city, I wouldn't give a shit who came to help, as long as someone came to help.

We have to do something — black people in Chicago make up 30 percent of the population but 80 percent of those who are killed by gun violence.”

Asked how that might differ from sending in the National Guard, Boykin said, “The difference is, I’m not so sure that the National Guard is so used to peacekeeping and a peacekeeping role: The U.N. is trained in this.”

“I’m talking about whoever the U.N. would decide to send in,” Boykin responded, adding, “I think that the assistant secretary-general may have some ideas outside of sending in troops. He may have some ideas about how we get to peace in these communities.

“We can’t wait for the mayor to put another 1,000 police officers on the streets, and I’m not so sure that’s going to be the panacea, anyhow,” said Boykin, who added that he wanted local officials to sit down together to come up with a solution.

“It’s been a total devastation of the African-American community,” he said.


Asked Wednesday about Boykin’s plan to involve the U.N., Mayor Rahm Emanuel did not respond directly but noted improvements in crime statistics and said he was working to ensure that “people feel a sense of security” in every neighborhood.

Here's the logistical problem of police departments. They're already behind the eight ball most of the time.

Hiring more cops is the actual *start* of the process but it's more then just that.

Probation for rookie cops is usually around a year. So the new hires aren't going to make a dent until they are actually past probation to work on thier own or with a peer.

So that's the first step more boots on the ground patrolling. Next that new officer needs experience. (Likely 2 to 3 years working the beat / pushing a car) before he can go into his areas gang unit.

Gang enforcement officers are great. They have experience and specialize.

To be a homicide cop it's a two tier system. First you need to put in your *time* but then you also need to be liked by the good'ol boy club. Homicide is the high speed low drag of detective work. So by nature most homicide units aren't that big. But! Homicide does utilize / work along with gang units allot.

Long story short, it takes time. To fix Chicago's problems today we're talking about 2 to 7 years for that solution to work itself out in the future via the process I just described, hence why I say they are behind the curve.

America is fucking crazy, homes. I used to live with my parents in a small logging town in WA. I was taking a run, and two meth heads acosted me. One of them had a bat with nails on it. I knew they were looking to rob me, even though I was in jogging gear. I dropped the first one, and got slashed across the eye with the club. It was millimeters from cutting my eye out. It left nasty gashes above and below my right eye, and these cuts basically ended my time amateur boxing. I knocked them the guy without the club out cold while he was on all fours, and punted the other guy's head, and he went face first into crushed bricks.

I ran home, and my mom, who is a social worker, took me, lumped the hell up, the police, so I could file a report, and make sure I wasn't charged for assault. They caught one of them, and let him go without sufficient evidence, despite me pointing him out in a lineup. The cop told me the guy had several breaking and entering and battery charges, and had been let go many times.

Like a month later, I saw both of these guys, wearing the EXACT SAME CLOTHES they were wearing when they encountered me, and they were jimmying open the door of a condemned house.

This nation has some problems.
