Media Combined records of the first 15 opponents for Topuria, Volk, Khabib and Islam

Good point.

And really, everything is rendered moot once a fighter in question gets the belt and defends it a respectable number of times.

Who gives a soaring fuck if they were 0-0 coming into the UFC.
Yeah, they're silly arguments to hand pick start and stop points to pump up one guy or discredit another. You could just as easily say "after 5 years as a pro..." or even "record of pre UFC opponents" and Topuria would easily be the worst of the bunch because he was fighting straight up bums who weren't even pro fighters. Literally half are still 0-1 because that was their only pro fight.

I don’t think yall understand how hard it is to match guys who are dangerous and unknown in their early careers

A man wet can always dry himself up. Meanwhile, anyone railing against the success of that group is a hating dumbass, and will be a hating dumbass forever.

That high was as high as anyone can get in that division's history. Calling that "30 seconds" is a slap in the face of all LWs, considering 3 defenses is the record.

What to say of Oliveira's reign then? Or, worse, McGregor? Half-a-breath of a mayfly?
30 seconds compared to this potential.

Dont get your hopes up, that defense record will get broken up relatively soon, and then Khabib's decision to bail out after 3 defenses will look even dumber.

Phenomal fighter, poor choices legacy wise (which he always said was his goal above money)

Retired undefeated, undisputed, with a boatload of money, well-regarded among peers and those outside of the sport, and still in a of people's heads apparently.

That is a feat rarely seen in MMA, and in combat sports in general.

What a poor choice indeed.

For sure, but it will look weak in hindsight in a few years when the defense record gets borken.

You're too emotional about the issue to assess it rationnally. Great fighter, underwhelming legacy
