Colby turns down UFC 228 title fight because he needs a “vacation”

He fought 5 rounds with RDA last month.

Tyron could have fought and chose not to.

Give Colby a break you morons.

Stop deflecting.

In modern MMA, it is completely and demonstrably rare for a champion to fight a 5 round title fight, then be in the cage again 3 months later, in another 5 round title fight.

You can't compare apples to oranges and use examples of non-title fights which has completely different implications.

Rare? Cris Cyborg did it with UFC 219 and UFC 222. Tyrone Woodley did it with Thompson 1 and Thompson 2 fight. DJ did it with UFC 174 and 178. Jose Aldo did it with UFC 136 and 142. There are several other examples I could give but they would slightly deviate from your very specific criteria, including how Darren Till is about to do it. I know what you’re thinking “Till vs Thompson wasn’t a title fight!” Neither was RDA vs Colby. Interim belts are fake as fuck and Dana just proved it again because he snatched Colby’s “interim” title away quicker than he could say nerd bash.

Colby bitched out on this plain and simple. Like I said before, it’s not an ideal situation, but it’s doable, and several others have done it before.

Dude this motherfucker literally couldn’t even score with a porn star. Google it. He couldn’t fuck a porn star. That is hilarious.
Lol was this really a thing? Link/Source?

Tyrone Woodley did it with Thompson 1 and Thompson 2 fight.

Wrong. November 12 to March 4th is 112 days for Woodley.

June 9th to September 8th is 91 days, which is 21 days less. Covington is only asking for another month, which would bring it around the time between Woodley and Thompson rematching.

Why not look this stuff up first instead of looking like a fool/liar?

DJ did it with UFC 174 and 178

105 days. Wrong again. You are terrible at this.

Jose Aldo did it with UFC 136 and 142.

98 days, still a fail.

To be absolutely concrete and clear, you have not provided ONE single example yet that is as short a turnaround time as the UFC is asking from Colby. Literally all your examples were wrong. You thought I wouldn't check, or you didn't check yourself. Either way you're wrong.

I have no problem with Till going next because in my mind, he and Colby were both equal #1 contenders. It is completely absurd for knocking Colby though, 90 days is an exceedingly, demonstrably rare turnaround time between 5 round title fights. That is a fact.

I find Colby irritating and I don't like fighters who do a routine, its annoying to me. That has nothing to do with giving athletes an appropriate amount of time between 5 round title fights, which is just practical common sense.

Lol, because i have a job and a life. You’re a fucking nerd. You remind me of Dominic Cruz. Always thinks he’s right. You’re parsing days here, down to 8 days difference. I was making a general point about “3 months” give or take. But nerd fucks like you and Dominic need it down to the specific hour.

Don’t hate because Cruz is smarter than you..

You and I both know you're a BS artist.

I have a job and a life too, but I don't find the time to make up lies on the internet. Somehow, you can squeeze it in.

Cheers
