A lot has been made about Conor and how he's going to gas in the fourth round or something around there because Conor has no gas tank. Let's look at the facts.

A boxing round is 3 minutes with 1 minute of rest.

A MMA round is 5 minutes with 1 minute of rest.

Conor has been in a 5 round war in the UFC when he fought and beat Nate the second time. That's 25 minutes.

For the same time frame in a boxing match that would be 8 rounds but in between those rounds Conor would get 7 minutes of rest vs just 4 in a 5 round MMA fight.

In that 5 round fight Conor was fighting a bigger man in Nate. And was pressed up against the cage a lot that fight.

Fighting Floyd will be a lot different 1) because Floyd isn't any where near as big as Nate is and 2) Conor will dominate the clinch if Floyd tries to tie him up.

On top of all this Conor has been seriously training his cardio since losing to Nate back in March of 2016. He even developed a new cardio program for himself to improve on that part of his game.

So over a year of training his cardio up plus shorter rounds and more rest periods makes it less likely Conor gasses and this fight goes the distance.

Also Floyd isn't finishing him. Brittle hands, safe fighter, hasn't knocked anyone out in years makes this almost a certain decision.

Conor is just a higher level athlete. Reads at a higher level as well.

*Hasn't knocked any high level pro boxer out in years

He has knocked amateur boxers out in his gym probably

McGregor was visibly gassed by the end of round 2 in a fight where he was beating the shit out of Diaz at a measured pace. His only chance for any kind of success (even extremely limited success) here is to fight with a high workrate for the first few rounds. He threw fewer than 300 punches against Nate over the entire fight, didn't miss a whole lot, and he was still extremely tired for large stretches of that fight. He's going to be exhausted before the halfway point of the fight, assuming he makes it that far (add in the fact that Mayweather is a good body puncher, and it might be even earlier). Also, lol at Conor dominating the infighting. He has no idea how to infight in boxing, and he's not going to learn in a few weeks.

I didn't say infighting I said clinching/being tied up. Conor is 100% stronger than Floyd, 100% bigger than Floyd and has 100% better technique than Floyd when it comes to clinching. Conor trains this aspect of fighting every fight he has and has had to specifically drill for the clinch hard in his last two fights. He stonewalled a bigger Diaz and completely shut down eddies clinch. Something that Eddie is known for.

Conor has only improved on his cardio since the first Diaz fight. To base his cardio off a fight that was back in August of 2016 is short sighted

You are speculating and I'm dealin in facts. Come back when you either have concrete evidence Floyd has knocked someone out recently when he has fought or concede you are making shit up out of your ass

Pretty much everyone who fights Floyd is bigger and stronger than him. What are you even talking about when it comes to technique for clinching? Fighting on the inside is an art that very few even at the high level in boxing are particularly good at. Are you just saying that Conor will be able to tie Floyd up on the inside (if for some reason either man even really cared to be fighting on the inside)? I'm sure he will, but what is that going to do for McGregor?

You can talk about stamina as if it's something that is easily be gained in a single training camp, but that's simply not the case. A lot of it is just something that you're born with. McGregor clearly doesn't have particularly good cardio, even for MMA. Now he's being thrown immediately into a 12 round fight (it takes many long time high level amateurs several fights and a steady build up to become properly acclimated to the 12 round distance) in a sport he has never competed in at any kind of meaningful level. It's entirely reasonable to assume that he'll gas early if he fights at anywhere near the type of pace he has to in order to see any amount of success. Or maybe he'll try to fight at a measured pace from the outside which will more or less just ensure that he's looking to make it the 12 and isn't concerned with winning (as, simply put, you don't beat Mayweather anywhere near around 147 trying to fight him methodically from the outside unless you're Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, or maybe someone like Gavilan or Burley).

You are also speculating, you said he hasn't knocked anyone out and because of that he can't KO an amateur boxer?, just say he hasn't knocked any pro boxer in years, because Conor is 0-0 and the last time Floyd fought a 0-0 boxer he knocked him out (Roberto Apodaca and Hector Ayala)

While you bring up a good point, Conor's style is very energy intensive. The way he tenses up and throws, every time a fighter comes in to throw he tenses up and looks to counter he also doesn't have the instinct boxers develop over years to conserve and recover energy during a fight. Listen to boxers talk about Mayweather during their fights he's a true master at stamina expenditure and conservation especially recovery add the fact that he's never been gassed EVER during a fight and Conor's history of gassing I don't see Conor developing the instincts and stamina in one camp. Stamina doesn't develop over a couple of years it takes decades to get to the point of a pro boxer.

Conor is a professional fighter just like the guys Floyd hasn't ko'd in years. That's not speculating. That's data, that's history. Floyd is 40 years old and hasn't fought in two years. This isn't prime Floyd we are talking about. This is brittle hands, just came out of retirement Floyd and he hasn't ko'd anyone in years.

This is a big crock of shit post wow.

You act like Conor has only been working on his cardio just for this fight which is just plain wrong. He's been improving his cardio since march of 2016. And on top of that you are acting as if cardio can't be improved upon you have to be born with it which is completely idiotic. The rounds are shorter and he gets more rest than he's used to fighting in Mma. It's not as if he's some actor thinking he can box. He's a professional fighter and trains in boxing as well as other disciplines of martial arts. He's competed and won at the highest level of an equally as grueling and demanding combat sport. There are differences yes but to act as if he is completely starting from square and is green as hell is retarded.

Not everyone who fights Floyd is bigger than him. Conor will be the biggest and strongest fighter Floyd has faced in his career. The clinch is important because it's one of floyds biggest tools to slow his opponents down and stop their offense. Conor can negate this because he has superior technique when it comes to the clinch. Also this fight is at 154. Right at conors natural fighting weight class but he will most likely be quite heavier than that on fight night. Conor will have the cardio to go the distance

Mcgrergor with godlike conditioning isn't going to win.

and you are stupid if you think mayweather is incapable of knocking out mcgregor.

How is he "just like the guys Floyd hasn't ko'd in years"?

Are you saying his level of boxing is even near of Berto, Pacquiao, Maidana, Canelo, Guerrero and Cotto's?

<36>

Conor will last longer for sure. He will tire though. Probably 7-8 rounds and if Floyd is adding punishment on top of that then thats probably the beginning of the end.

To win he has to do it in 6 rounds. IF he lasts though its a victory.

Floyd has punched women in the face, without boxing gloves, and could not knock them out. He's not going to knock a real man out.

Floyd tied up Mosley, Maidana, and Cotto. All very strong muscular guys. I remember reading Shane could bench 340 pounds or thereabouts.

He'll be fine in the clinch.

Floyd has taken out some huuge fighters in his career De laHoya, Canelo, Marquez, Mosley, Cotto; all huge compared to Floyd and bigger than Conor. MMA weight classes are different to boxing since these guys cut just as much weight and their musculature is distributed differently. MMA fighters tend to have muscles more evenly distributed between top and bottom half of their bodies while boxers have leaner builds favoring upper body strength. Seriously what are wrestling and kicking muscles gonna do in a boxing match? Also all that cocaine and partying Conor loves to do is gonna come back to bite him in the ass too.

He's not going to appreciably improve his cardio at his age. Do you think that Conor, a professional fighter now for about a decade, hasn't been doing intense cardio training for a long time? It can get better, sure, but if it's not good now, it would be foolish to expect it to ever be particularly good, yet alone nearly good enough to keep the kind of workrate that would give him any kind of chance to have any meaningful success in a 12 round fight against Floyd Mayweather.

I'm not saying he's starting from square one, but he might as well be here. He's not facing some club fighter (and there are club fighters who would have very good chances of beating him in boxing) or even a journeyman (many journeymen would have very good chances of beating McGregor in boxing), he's facing Floyd Mayweather. Clinch fighting in MMA (or wrestling, muay Thai or any other number of disciplines) isn't infighting in boxing. There were people who talked about Chris Algieri, with his wrestling background, being able to nullify Errol Spence Jr. on the inside. Instead, he got completely bludgeoned there because Spence Jr. actually knew how to infight and Algieri didn't. Same goes for Kovalev against Ward (Kovalev with wrestling experience and training and a strength advantage still got outclassed on the inside against a guy who actually knew what he was doing there).

Floyd will smother and tie up his opponents sometimes to slow down the pace of fights and take away his opponent's initiative (the last two times we saw genuine infighting in any amount from Mayweather was against Maidana the first time out and against Cotto; since then he's not really bothered and instead has mostly held clinches on the inside as much as the ref will allow him to). What is McGregor going to do to prevent that (if it was particularly relevant to begin with, which it isn't)? Work to get his hands free and start working on the inside (aka learn how to infight)? McGregor is going to learn high level infighting in a few months (again, a skill that most elite boxers these days don't have)? Alright, man. If Mayweather were fighting an actually dangerous southpaw with strength and size advantages and infighting ability (like Errol Spence Jr.), he'd be in for real trouble, but he's not. He's facing a guy with no relevant boxing experience.

Conors entire MMA career is a little over 3 full boxing matches.
That's it.
If you took Mayweathers last four fights, that's more time Mayweathers spent in a boxing ring than McGregors spent in a cage.
Think about that.
That's 4 out of 49 fights.

Let's not talk cardio.

None of the guys you listed have been clinch technique than an mma who trains it every fight and is actually one of the most underrated aspects of the sport. Conor will man handle him in the clinch and toss him around
