Boxing rounds vs MMA rounds

None of the guys you listed have been clinch technique than an mma who trains it every fight and is actually one of the most underrated aspects of the sport. Conor will man handle him in the clinch and toss him around

Clinching in boxing and MMA are entirely different things. In boxing it is usually used to get out of danger, even give a sort of rest, whereas in MMA it is extremely energy intensive, basically grappling on the feet while worrying about knees, transitions to the grounds, getting your feet stomped, and so forth. In boxing it can be fun to "man handle" the guy in the clinch but it has very little to do with winning the fight.

No he won't. Not the same clinch
Yes he will. If you need to watch clips watch Floyd trying to tie Mosley up after Mosley tagged him. He was grabbing his arm holding on for dear life. Conor studies all the clinch positions and know the way to break them

Congrats on not reading. Of course in boxing its used to rest. That's why Conor being bigger and stronger with better technique in the clinch against Floyd because he won't be able to rest or stay out of danger long because Conor will break the tie up. Watch the Mosley fight and see how Floyd tied him up after he got tagged. Then tell me if you honestly think Conor couldn't break that and keep hitting floyd

100% bigger than Floyd? When Floyd fights at super welterweight he usually weighs right around 152ish. Conor is coming in at over 300 pounds!?!? Holy shit! How did this fight get sanctioned?
You're retarded

Hey TS - I'll account bet you that Conor loses this fight.

You're retarded
You're the idiot that said that Conor is 100% bigger than Mayweather and also can't seem to grasp that infighting in boxing is different than clinching in mma. I'd say it looks like you are the one that is mentally disabled.

A lot has been made about Conor and how he's going to gas in the fourth round or something around there because Conor has no gas tank. Let's look at the facts.

A boxing round is 3 minutes with 1 minute of rest.

A MMA round is 5 minutes with 1 minute of rest.

Conor has been in a 5 round war in the UFC when he fought and beat Nate the second time. That's 25 minutes.

For the same time frame in a boxing match that would be 8 rounds but in between those rounds Conor would get 7 minutes of rest vs just 4 in a 5 round MMA fight.

In that 5 round fight Conor was fighting a bigger man in Nate. And was pressed up against the cage a lot that fight.

Fighting Floyd will be a lot different 1) because Floyd isn't any where near as big as Nate is and 2) Conor will dominate the clinch if Floyd tries to tie him up.

On top of all this Conor has been seriously training his cardio since losing to Nate back in March of 2016. He even developed a new cardio program for himself to improve on that part of his game.

So over a year of training his cardio up plus shorter rounds and more rest periods makes it less likely Conor gasses and this fight goes the distance.

Also Floyd isn't finishing him. Brittle hands, safe fighter, hasn't knocked anyone out in years makes this almost a certain decision.
=)

You dont know shit about boxing

Conor lasted longer in boxing than a whole MMA championship fight. Suck my nuts you hating queer
Nobodies hating. Conor got battered by a 40 year old retired for two years, weak cored, small, brittle fisted malteser with eyeballs, thats just the facts, queer. What kinda queer asks men to queer off with him on a website about sports? Youre one easy gay bitch.

This ought to be my last post in this shit pit of a subforum, but do you at least agree that you were utterly full of shit from the beginning?

Right. Let's not forget the only thing that really matters: he got stopped. Everything else is BS created to make losers feel better about losing.

Floyd tied up Mosley, Maidana, and Cotto. All very strong muscular guys. I remember reading Shane could bench 340 pounds or thereabouts.

He'll be fine in the clinch.

One of the dumber arguments for this fight. That a lifelong boxer will not be able to handle himself in the ring when clinching.

Conor gassed badly in both fights, just that pillowfisted Diaz couldn't put him away and he survived long enough to gain a second wind.
