Betting Questions

same... i only started bitcoining in the last few months. i haven't deposited since last july.. can't help, my man

Does anyone know how long 5 dimes take to process bitcoin deposits?
I don't know if this helps, but if I remember correctly, BookMaker promises to handle BTC-deposits in about 30 minutes on their webpage. I think that sounds pretty realistic, but I suppose it depends also on transaction fee at your end.

Last time I did this was over a year ago and I really can't remember, sorry

Yea I think the problem I have encountered is the transaction fee through Blockchain. I'm almost 24 hours without any confirmations yet, smh.

Just a heads up for any of you who use 5 dimes...I recently was paid out with a cashiers check for $1500. I have gotten them before and there was never a problem. I depoisted the check and then received a message from 5 dimes saying that they have had issues with their processor and if the check gets "reversed" then to let them know. I asked them why this would happen and they did a horrendous job explaining it but the bottom line was to check the bank account to make sure it doesnt get reversed...well it did and now this is a huge issue. They tell me that they will reimburse any overdraft fees and then "figure out how to get the money back to me" F'n rediculous. Of course the payout methods are getting more and more limited with their amounts. I used to get western union payouts all the time but now they are capping them around $300. My only option for a payout with the amount i wanted was a cashiers check. Conveniently enough there are never issues with deposits they go through right away and there is a few different options to choose from.

Exactly. Blaming 5Dimes for this is silly. Blame the US Federal Government.

You try running a multi-billion dollar bookmaking operation from Costa Rica with most of your clients betting from the USA....you're probably gonna fail unless you adopt bitcoin as a deposit/withdrawal method.

Am I gonna be able to make bets by the fights tomorrow?

I have a bovada account but they won't let me add money with a visa vanilla reload card. I don't have an actual bank account linked card.

I tried logging onto my old coinbase account to buy bitcoins but don't have the account info.

Edit: tried making a new coinbase account to buy bitcoins and they don't take prepaid cards which is all I have.

Edit: tried adding money to 5 dimes with a prepaid visa card and it rejected

When yall watch tape on fighters, do you watch go back and forth between the two or do you watch tape on one fighter all at once, and the the next fighter all at once? I watched some tape this week, for each fight I studied the last four fights of one fighter(not even concerned about his opponent), and then i watched the 4 last fights of his opponent. I was just thinking maybe it would be better to flip back and forth(ex: watch a stipe fight, then watch a JDS, then back to Stipe, then back to JDS).

Personally i like to watch 1 fighter at a time. Eg. 3x JDS fights then 3x Stipe.

I know some of you guys have had problems with coinbase when it comes to directly withdrawing funds from bookmakers without using an intermediary like blockchain.

Is this also the case regarding kraken? The reason I ask is because i preferably don't want to use blockchain as intermediary because transactions right now are a nightmare and given the volatile nature of bitcoin I don't want to drag out the process any longer than necessary.

For me it depends on how well I know the fighters already. If I know each guys strengths and weaknesses I know what to look out for and will watch all of fighter A then all of fighter B. If I'm not familiar with one I'll alternate to make sure I understand the matchup while I look for relevant factors.

what's hawked mean? like you got out of there as fast as a hawk or something? hehe

i used to use circle, then coinbase... but after rumors about coinbase, i have been doing 5d -> blockchain -> localbitcoins -> cash, and i also move it immediately everytime

Yes coinbase gave me the ETA when the bitcoins would hit (a Tuesday) and from that Monday until they hit Tuesday afternoon I was checking coinbase every 5-10 min basically lol

I'm gonna try localbitcoins next as that seems even more secure than coinbase as far as the government goes when youre just handed cash. I've put $8k worth of gambling bitcoins in my bank account already this year and it has me nervous

i currently use bovada which has a ufc betting limit of 1k per day, per fighter. And non ufc mma like bellator is $500 limit.

Are there any good online books that have higher limits or would you have to go to a casino for that? Also next question is what are the typical limits in a vegas casino lets say for mma betting? Perhaps they are all different i have no idea, thanks for any info
