that is a cold war term, with "first world" being america and its capitalist allies, "second world" being the soviets and their communist/socialist allies and "third world" being countries on neither side (usually their economy was too small to of any significance)

That really is an antiquated definition though.

1st, 2nd and 3rd world are predominately used as a reference to the socioeconomic development, standards of living etc of a country rather than it's alliances.

I have lived in Denmark. I can confirm this. They are far more advanced in well-being and more advanced society. The countries that are surprisingly ahead of everybody is Denmark, Swedan, Norway, Finland, Switerzland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Dubai, Qatar, Singapore, Bahrain, Kuwait, South Korea, Japan and New Zealand. This is my personal opinion ofcourse and the countries I found to be advanced when it comes to life and harmony and systems.

The issues with the US is to much competition and over population. Its truly chaos compared to these countries. The Crime rate and homicide rate is ridiculously high for a country that is not in war. Hack there is more homicide in the US then in countries that are in active war

Dubai is not what it appears to be, I am sorry but I think me working with the high tiers of their military gives me a little more insight than a lawyer. They look at anybody who is not a Sheikh as a 3rd class citizen. It doesn't matter if your a "native" or not.

Not sure how this differs from what my friend said. They're all generally very rich. Even the average/poor live comfortably with tons of government benefits and support. and they all think they're better than everyone. A perception that's also prevalent in the USA. Their infrastructure is newer and better than ours and that's undeniable. They dump tons of money to make sure it is top notch...

Precisely why places like Dubai and Qatar suck. They are rich because of luck, they happened to be born on enormous oil reserves. It's not like there is innovation going on there or merit achievements. They would be nowhere without foreign customers for their oil and foreign people from the west building all the cool updated shit in their countries.

News flash most Israelis don't take their religion too seriously. Look at their point on the chart I posted.
