America is now a 2nd tier country

Seems about right.

Oh no, you went there!
<36>

I have lived in Denmark. I can confirm this. They are far more advanced in well-being and more advanced society. The countries that are surprisingly ahead of everybody is Denmark, Swedan, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Kuwait, South Korea, Japan and New Zealand. This is my personal opinion of course and the countries I found to be advanced when it comes to life and harmony and systems.

The issues with the US is too much competition and over population. Its truly chaos compared to these countries. The Crime rate and homicide rate is ridiculously high for a country that is not in war. Hack there is more homicide in the US then in countries that are in active war.

Well, you have answered your own question as to why the U.S. may rank lower than the countries you mentioned. I don't agree with you though. "...more advanced in well-being and a more advanced society." I don't think so, plus it depends on what part of the U.S. you are talking about. Comparing Mississippi to Delaware is a huge difference. The United States is a huge country. You can put all of Europe in it. Of course you are going to have more problems with a larger population. Denmark is a small country and they don't have blacks or other minorities. It is easier and cheaper to support a small population with health care and education than a large one. South Korea and Japan benefit from U.S. help much like Israel does. My tax dollars to support other countries. Kuwait oppresses their working class from abroad. Switzerland has always been a neutral country and has huge restrictions on who can live there and become a citizen. Belgium, Holland and Germany are now being destroyed by the Muslim immigrants from Syria. There is no over competition or over population in the U.S. Not sure where you are getting that from. Crime rate is called black-on-black killings like Chicago and Los Angeles, and we do have the freedom to own arms. Why is it that most U.S. Embassies throughout the world have a huge line of people trying to come to the U.S.? I've worked in one and can attest to that. No lines for the Embassies of the countries you listed. The Texas GDP alone is higher than some European countries and most Latin American countries. That's just one state! Multiply that by 50. America will never be a 2nd tier country. They are too smart and adaptable to the changing elements.

I don't want to call BS, but BS. Some odd numbers that drop the US rating really stick out:

-The US is ranked 54th for freedom of religion???

-92nd for religious tolerance???

-53rd for primary school enrollment (it's the law that everyone goes to primary school)

-65th Freedom over life choices (I suppose if we legalize heroine that # would go up)

-40th because of traffic deaths (well duh - everyone drives in the US)

-30th for access to piped water while Germany is ranked #1 (when I was there a few years ago, all of Germany was drinking from wells)

-32nd for political rights

-17th for personal property rights

-32nd for early marriage (You'd think a social progress index would be more tolerant of peoples personal choice of when to marry)

-73rd Biodiversity (You've got to be kidding me)

my point exactly

questionable metrics to rank countries and then questionable subjective rankings in those metrics

you could make a similar thing

rank
-GDP
-GDP per capita
-Media Influence
-Healthcare choices
-Freedom to own firearms
-home size
-car size
-ethnic diversity
etc.

and rank America #1 over europe by huge margins

edit: i didnt see biodiversity the first time, and putting USA as 73rd and the UK in 10th for biodiversity, holy shit lmao

so the military is just ignored? as are income tax rates?

also practically everything is closed on sundays in Germany, yet that apparently has no factor in these rankings. Imagine how different your life would be if you could do virtually nothing on a sunday.....

so the military is just ignored? as are income tax rates?

....

Well its called the Social Progress Index not the Military Progress Index so why would they measure the military?

not so much the survey, but the TS taking those 'results' and extrapolating that the US is now a second tier country

you can't be a second tier country w/ the by far strongest military on earth, that's now how this works. Even more so when you're also the richest country

We're all typing on an American forum, about an American sport, on technology developed in the US.......

second tier tho

So another story on how "America isn't socialist enough"??

How's that working in Venezuela?

That's a pretty skewed conclusion. Basically a list of lowest common denominator social metrics.

They are happier/better because they have easier access to low-quality health care with tech inherited from US capital ventures and more "anti-discrimination" laws (one of the reasons people leave to begin with)?

Translating that into "upward mobility" isn't accurate. It's borderline opposite. If you want upward mobility you must have a tolerance for social inequity (and learn the difference between envy-based inequity and absolute poverty).

Either way, good luck with that given Scandinavia's longterm demographic/economic outlook.

Pretty much all of the western world have become 2nd tier countries via the catastrophic failure of 'diversity' via the adoption of mass non-selective immigration. East Asian powers are far more salvageable.

Have you been to these places before? I don't think so. If you have then you would have automatically agreed

I have. They were great in the rich parts. Most of it os still 3rd world hell holes.

Not surprised the TS fell for this dribble that gets posted on here every few months or so.

Seems about right.

So the average person in Ethiopia is retarded?

i call bullshit, if the average person in Ethiopia had the same education opportunities they would post similar results to the rest of world

Well-being? As in health or just mental wellness?

I'm not surprised we're 2nd rate. We're only a little better than third world country who is starving. We on the other hand is overfed. Most of Americans are overweight if not obese and borderline disabled.

As for mental wellness, I'm not surprised either. We should be 3rd or 4th rate at this point. I think 3rd world countries have a better mental wellness than Americans. Half of Americans (liberals) are borderline mentally ill. When your life is sooo good that you literally have nothing else to cry about other than faux racism, sexism, self loathing, and gender identity.

I was only refering to the lavish life and infrastructure. The rest irrelevant in this subject.

ppl have dogs as pet here but there it's Lions, tigers and chetah.. spotting someone with these exotic animals is normal in the public.

You will never spot a old car on the road in Doha and dubai in fact it's normal seeing Ferraris, Bentleys etc etc.

living a lavish life style is considered normal life there

So these dudes are the kings of humanity?

Keep going with the "Exotic pets = high quality of life". I like hearing the mind of an idiot.

Absolutely agree. A brain is a brain. An Ethiopian can learn as well as a Dane can. There is a strong correlation however that the stronger ones religious beliefs in society yields lower educational opportunities. It's hard to be rational and learn when everything is explained away with supernatural nonsense.

The nightmare of religious blow hards is secular educated young women.

The article claims Murka is second-tier the TS just reposted the headline.

Well you can be second tier in social progress, which is what the article and index show. The index doesnt measure military or national GDP.

We're all typing on an American forum, about an American sport, on technology developed in the US.......

second tier tho

MMA is an international sport that was practiced before Murka existed.

America is trying to become just like Russia. The corporate class is winning. Using their political stooges they made sure laws only really apply to the poor, even prisons are class based.Tennis court prisons for the rich, rape centers for the poor. There is a small oligarchy in control of all the nation's wealth, a large military that protects only the interests of the super rich and sends poor young men to die, the oligarchy control the media and they even have a strongman who doesn't care about democratic institutions as the leader of the country. Healthcare and education is becoming something that is only for a small wealthy group of people.

America is Russia lite atm.

Well, maybe he visited. I highly doubt even a negligible proportion of tourists to Dubai have seen the seething underbelly of that city, the human decay that builds the edifice.

The more advanced, "liberal" muslim states often make it an overt point, their modernity. But much like North Korean grocery stores, when the apple is bitten into, no food is found.
