Gabe, do we actually act this way?

Gabe, if snakes had wings would they be dragons?

Saw a couple of grey herons, a kestrel doing his stationnary fly (vol du Saint-Esprit) and a king fisher speeding left and right this weekend.

+ 3 friendly errants black cats in one night.

Kingfishers are awesome.

Those whales are so ducking amazing but I really wish ppl wouldn’t bother them especially when they are sleeping.

They're deep enough that it's only going to be research scientists or professional crews that have this kind of access. If it was throngs of tourists I'd agree, but a few divers will not bother them in the least.

@neverwas now do you have to worry about the spider wobble or are there enough other traits to offset it?

she has a very slight tremor that only shows when shes ready to strike. i didn't really want to get into the spider gene, but she was sold to me as something else.black head masks the wobble, but i don't have any of that.

if we're cloning dead species then I'd rather they make a neanderthal or homo erectus. Think about how eerie it would be to stare at another being that isnt quite human. It'd feel like contact with an alien.

Dang, I'm jelly of an Arctic/Antarctic explorer lifestyle at the moment. Balls-freezing and frost-bite notwithstanding, I'd love to have such an adventure.

Not for life though. Balls-freezing and frost-bite, you know...

Yeah, I really want to know what the Antarctic winter is like. Meant to be the most hostile conditions on the planet.

A few years back I applied for a job as a helper monkey British Antarctic Survey. With not much more outdoors experience than travelling to and from my office job at the time, perhaps it was unsurprising that my application was not successful.
