Zookeeper Gabe's Animal Thread V6.0

sorry to hear ab your loss @jefferz I have yellow watchman pistol shrimp pair and they are neat to watch. Do a great job moving the sandbed.

I don't follow the ball python morph world but could someone explain the buzz/interest with this? This came up on a group I follow and I just don't get it. Is it basically playing with breeding so much until something strange pops out and $$?

Which shrimp do you have?
Thanks man. It just sucks and I don't want to start over from scratch. I've started selling off my equipment which was hard to do.
I want to get back into breeding FW fish, i havent decided yet. I'm looking at peacock gudgeons, celestial pearl danios, or pea puffers. LFS only wants the basic stuff and they're not much of a challenge. I do have some orange eye blue tiger shrimp paid for, the guy is hanging onto them until work slows down a little.

he's trying to get scaleless line going for large dollars. the only one i heard of went for 120000 dollars or something like that.

Raccoons are very intelligent. They can actually learn to trade tokens for food and begin storing and banking the tokens.

Yea that's pretty bad ass. They also have opposable thumbs. Need to give that one a few million years and see what happens.

I wonder if that animal is truly from a scaless line or it's just rubbed some of the scales off it's face.

hard to tell from that pic.got some nice pics of me with some colour morph retics gabe.

Post them up. I'm actually not a huge fan of morphs (even though I have a piebald bp) usually. But always love pictures being posted.

Ok,I'll post em up tomorrow .got to crop em a bit to hide my face.

Fuck Al Cortiz, he's looked upon as a joke by most of the venomous community.

Edit. This may have been a bit harsh.
But he does a lot of the do as I say not as I do even when dealing with other experienced handlers. That has always bugged me.

Emotional connections in wild animals... This is something I've wondered about.
My wife found a chipmunk that had been injured. She had offered him some comfort by providing him with the concealment of a few leaves. Later while checking up on him she found that one of his fellow chipmunks was standing by to see what had happened to his friend. So the questions stand; did the chipmunks recognise my wife's actions as friendly and were the two chipmunks actually friends?
I find this fascinating. Over the years I have seen thing that I can only register as compassion. I recall the rather sad scene of a racoon who had been hit by a car. His sibling stood at the side of the road wringing its hands in distress.
Then there was the groundhog I rescued. Does he know me? Does his mother know somebody helped rescued her baby?
And I provide the birds with fresh water. They wait for me to rinse the bath to get the fresh water. Am I their friend?

I love the furry and feathered guys. I would like to believe we have a connection that transcends the boundaries of species.

Some million years?

We're already leading the world from behind, we're just letting you humans do the hard work
