YouTube deletes Natural News channel: Victory against pseudoscience, or conservative purge?

Man... Youtube needs to delete all these dudes that cry about meat eaters, fake weights and who aint natty.

Vegan Gains needs his mother fucking ass whooped, I hate that guy and hope nothing but bad shit happens to him. Drop him spine first on a high curb.

Nothing to do with the 1st, dont like youtube policies don't use the product, that is capitalism.

Over the weekend, YouTube deleted the "Health Ranger" channel, citing violation of YouTube's Community Guidelines. The Natural News channel is run by Mike Adams, who is unsurprisingly outraged, claiming violation of the 1st Amendment:

"We have now entered the Twilight Zone, and the tyrants in charge are left-wing lunatics who are, without exception, totalitarians who despise dissenting views. As they are demonstrating by the hour, they are more than willing to exploit their positions of power to silence their political opposition and destroy the subscriber audiences of alternative authors or journalists. Make no mistake that this is all a prelude to a massive false flag event that I have described as “The Mother of all False Flags.”

It is not the first time Google and YouTube have been accused of targeting conservative content.

Adams has repeatedly been criticized as a purveyor of pseudoscience for his various claims, which include vaccine denialism and the alleged vaccines-autism link, AIDS/HIV denialism, quack cancer treatments, and conspiracy theories about "Big Pharma". As David Gorski, MD Ph.D. summarized on Science-Based Medicine:

"I still don't know whether Adams really and truly believes in the nonsense he promotes. I really don't and still can't tell. For example, did Adams relocate to Ecuador because he really believes in the "natural" lifestyle or did he do it to escape those pesky laws in the U.S. that frown on selling unproven remedies. I do know, however, that Adams appears to have an utter contempt for his own readers, as evidenced by his repeating outrageous straw men such as the claim that SBM says that susceptibility to disease is totally random and that there's nothing anyone can do about it and bizarre falsehoods like his claim in the Vaccine Zombie video above that vaccines can make your testicles fall off."

As far as the claim that this move by YouTube is a violation of the 1st Amendment:

It's a pretty straightforward equation imo.
They can espouse whatever views they want but when they venture into giving medical advice that is known to be not only wrong, but endangering people, they can fuck right the fuck off.

You mean the jabronis who got exposed conspiring to make a consorted effort to shit post in and derail any thread that disagreed with their views? Go ahead and keep pretending that you're some sort of victim you weakass snowflake.

<36>

Nope

Conservatives are masters of misinformation. No wonder they are fighting to spread fake news. How else would they convince millions of poor whites to support causes against their best interests

That was the case for sure, until Trump started talking about blue collar jobs returning, and dems abandoned it.

It's odd that the righties always leave out that little detail when they bring up banned posters. What's odd is that most banned posters just come back with new accounts butt the same old shtick

I saw an article yesterday that said he violated YouTube policy by claiming Sandy hook never happened on several occasions

That's as good a reason as any to boot the mofo.

I suppose I should retract the "espouse whatever views they want remark" but one assumes the views in question don't contradict established fact, but are rather just opinions people don't agree with. If you're outright lying to enrage people, well, fly the fuck off. I detest trolls.

I have actually watched some health ranger videos. He did not come across as crazy as people in this thread think. He talked about political issues and living off the grid. He did nice a little video praising The Juice Man Jay Kordich after he passed away.

If you open the door to censorship, you open it for potentially anything. You liking or not liking this guy isn't what it's about. Censorship isn't a viable long-term principle you can apply to deal with problems in a society. People who peddle conspiracy theories already have 0 credibility on the market on free ideas. But it's an important principle to give people the freedom to speak and read others' ideas and come to their own conclusions. Considering how digital forms of communication are being used as an intermediate for speech and the exchange of information, it's probably time to take steps to make the private companies who control the medium be beholden to the principles of free speech written in the law. These are not companies who sell garden equipment, they literally control the flow of information and we should absolutely take that into account.

Any examples of people being banned for disagreeing with the "liberal" mods?

Doctor Satan Dracula was a hero who was banned by compter fogie for exactly that

I find the title entertaining in that a victory against pseudoscience could also conceivably be a conservative purge.

What a strange place conservativism has reached.

People get very confused about what the 1st amendment means.....typical uneducated dolts.

Libs are totalitarians who despise dissenting views. Can't be going around denying things they say are true or else ban hammer. Happens everywhere libs are in charge, even the war room does it.
The fact you identify with this quack is .....

Self ownage at it's finest.

I'm confused, the anti vaccination people are considered conservative? I've seen both sides who believe in it strongly, but I always assumed that was more of a left perspective since it's arguing against big pharma.
Or is it that a segment of conservatives are addicted to playing victim and when they see someone who is being in their eyes treated unfairly by a liberal ( I'm guessing YouTube is automatically liberal because California )they instantly want them on their team ?

Just spitballing lol

To be clear there is a segment on the left that us just as nutty , opposite side of the same coin.

Yep, constantly crying about fairness, they are the true SJW snowflakes

LOL @ the right defending fake news. Why would anyone be upset that a video that is complete bullshit got deleted? As a business why would YouTube allow some idiot to use their platform to spread lies? He can go outside and exercise his 1st amendment right all he wants.
