Your plan for 10mil dollars

If $10M is life changing money for you and you want to really live it up, then you better invest the principle in very safe, interest generating investments and just 'live it up' off the interest while not touching the principle.

Even at a very safe 3% per annum in income generating investments, that is $300,000/yr you can withdraw and spend to do the things you want. If you move to a jurisdiction that will not tax your interest income, you will have almost $6000/week you can spend.
I came here to post this.

You stole my idea.

Please pay me 10M as compensation

10 mil isn't exactly fuck you money these days. I'd pay off my house , business loan and probably my sister's mortgage and bank what's left. I would still keep getting up and going to work but I love my job most days and I think I would age rapidly if I stopped going.
How do you figure that? Anyone who can't live comfortably from 10 million dollars for the rest of their lives would clearly be doing something wrong.

Here I was being conservative with 2.4%. 3% would cake.

Imagine you just simply receive 10mil dollars and you can do what you want with it.
What do you then?
Are you going to travel the world, leave your current job?
Invest in something and still work?
Move to some expensive house and just chill there for the rest of your life ?
Are you going to take care of your familiy members ?

Pay off my house and keep working. Everyone of my family members is in a stable amd comfortable situation and can take care of our own families, the rest of the 10 mil is a nice blanket for a few treats here and there , but I'm frugal as Fuck and I'd just end up investing half of it and using the other half for reasonable personal projects I was already planning off of my own income.

Lol. 10 million dollars ÷ my annual salary is over 150 years

I'm not going to live that long, so if I am lucky and live 50 more years to my mid 90's, that would be tripling my annual salary with no taxes(and Canadian taxes are pretty fucking high)

Yes that is fuck you money if you invest it. Especially in real estate and land, which is an appreciating asset that floats inflation waves.

Sure it is.... invested properly it's over 700k in passive income (using historic averages). That's enough to pay yourself 300k a year (taxed at HALF of income tax rates) and let it grow another 400k a year to make up for 4% inflation.

To say that isn't "fuck you" money would imply that anybody making less than 300k a year is by your definition: fucked.

If I had 10 mil in cash, my wife and I could comfortably retire right now, however I would probably have a very long discussion with my wife first. The two most likely scenarios would be stay where we're at in California or move to Hawaii. At the very least we would start/finish up the upcoming school year for the kids. I would play investments relatively conservative mostly sticking to index funds and ladder t-bills as long as it stays above 4%. There's a chance I would continue working if a good opportunity presented itself, but it would have to be part-time at the most with great healthcare coverage or start up my own business mainly to take advantage of a roth sep-ira account and max that baby out if possible.
