Your favourite mini games in any title?

I like to play outside of the Yakuza games as well. 1st Yakuza game I played was 0, and I think half of my frustration learning the game was not having the numbers present on the Man tiles in a way that I could understand. lol Guess it was something cool that video games taught me.
Agreed. Games, like movies, can leave lasting effects that can open up new ideas. Strong enough to create lasting memories with strangers you will probably never meet.

OG FF7 had:

Motorcylce Mini Game
Fort Condor Battle
Chocobo Racing
Rollercoaser/Lazer game
Punching Game

Also, any game that lets you play Hold 'em (Red Dead Redemption, Gun, FarCry 3)

There was also the basketball game which was extremely realistic, in that it sucked just as much as real life basketball games at funfairs.

The chicken punching arcade game in Doom 3.

Genuinely this isn't my "real answer" but just for historical purposes GTA: San Andreas :"Hot Coffee" "mod" or not deserves its due.

Fishing in Far Cry 5 had me hooked. Pun not intended. Was very relaxing for me and I loved the title's lackadaisical, guitar-strumming score while dockside. There were weight records you'd ideally want to best and also a kind of scavenger hunt to track the best waterholes for sturgeon, trout, and such. I'm still surprised when FC5 gets snickered at; loved that game and reckon it second-best in franchise after 4.

I know it is technically a different game mode but "Tekken Force" from Tekken 3 is what came to my mind first.

I love the Judo minigame in Crash n the Boys Street Challenge

The "Test your..." mini games in Mortal Kombat series were a fun distraction.

FFX blitzball and FF8 card flipping were really fun.

At least one Dragon Quest DS game had a casino in one town at some point.

Triple Triad and it's not even close. blitzball was fun, ff7 had some ok side stuff. Some Zelda stuff was ok, the archery stuff I guess.

Also, I always liked the fishing in Breath of Fire 2. It was part of the game but not necessary to ever do, it was a way to earn money early and find treasures throughout...
