Isnt that the truth. Bobby was so amazing thst you hated him. He was a guy who knew how to draw heat from the crowd.

He played his role better than anyone in the roster.

Randy Savage was amazing for his time but he could no way have transitioned into the new era of wrestling like Michaels.

Picture Savage winning the chamber in 2002? Or having that technical masterpiece against Angle at Mania? Or carrying a story line against the McMahons? No chance could he.

Michaels is the only wrestler to carry one gimmick from 1985 - 2010 and he has wrestled all the greats and been apart of all the moments through that time.

No other wrestler is capable of doing what him and Taker did at Mania infront of 70,000+ people.

He is one of the greatest heels I could remember. When he crushed Steamboats Larynx with the ring bell was such an evil move I hated him.


i like Sean as well, hes one of the greatest workers ever but needed other big names to draw. Savage drew during the peak of the hogan era with this name only.

Actually Michaels had a previous gimmick when he was with the Midnight Rockers. Very few people can compete w/ Savage's gimmick, and Michaels isn't one of them.
Savage choreographed every move of one of the greatest matches in pro-wrasslin history (Savage vs. Steamboat @ WMIII). He could have competed with anybody in any era.

Anyone ever see Hawk from the Road Warriors/LOD win the NWA title against Ric Flair in what I think was a mid Atlantic Jim Crockett show. Hawk also had the title stripped immediately. He was being groomed to be a world champion though.


One of the biggest pops you'll ever see from the crowd. People were going bonkers for it.

Shawn is an ATG, but overrated IMO. Bret's in-ring work was overall better, and Austin's wasn't far behind. Shawn was also good on the mic, but his promos weren't on par with Hogan's, Austin's, or Rock's.

In what sense do you feel HBK is overrated?

Bret and Shawn could be argued as the two best of all time for in ring performance for sure. Austin was great but limited obviosuly due to his neck.

The Rock with a microphone is god like I agree as is Flair. Born to entertain thousands.

But we have to factor is everything, Michaels is arguably the most well rounded guy ever who can adept so well to any style he makes shitty wrestler like Hogan look good because of how good he is.

I like Michaels a lot, he's one of the greatest ever and probably a top 3 worker of all time but savage had something i think Michaels never had. Plus I think he was a Better heel.

From a booker stsnd point Savage could draw much better as well.

But Michaels is not a bad pick at all. You could never go wrong with that. I always liked Bret hart better than him

What? Did you miss his match with Steamboat for the IC title, one of the best matches of all time? Savage wasn't a guy that just had 4 or 5 moves like Hogan or Cena. The dude could wrestle for real.
