I liked Guida/Maynard. People like to say it was boring, but this did happen:

Mir / Nelson

I remember being surprised Dana was critical afterwards.. Thought it was a good fight

To each their own but an exciting 30 seconds in what was otherwise a horrible 25 minute fight doesn't relaly make the fight exciting. But damn, if Gray could have finished that guillotine, that would have been an awesome ending. I miss Maynard. It's a bummer that he's in career free fall.

Benson/Melendez

People hated the decision so much that they don't even want to talk about it and say Gil was robbed upfront. They didn't even recall show great and intense the fight is. It was a brawl. And I can see how Benson won it, rounds 3, 4 and 5, IMO.

This applies for

GSP-Hendricks
Jones-Gus
Lyoto-Shogun 1

controversial or seemingly controversial decisions seem to cloud peoples focus on the fact that it was a great fight that gets overshadowed by the decision.

Nick Diaz vs Karo Parisysan
Diego Sanchez vs Karo Parisysan
Tank Abbot vs Steve Nelmark

Mayhem/Shields.
Thought it was a great fight.

I agree on this one. If Mayhem got that choke in a few seconds earlier he would probably have won.

I liked the second Edgar/Bendo fight minus the decision. I didn't think Maynard/Guida was that bad either.

Yves Edwards vs Tony Ferguson, so much style and skill in that fight. Mike Pyle's beating on John Hathaway was pretty ridiculous, not many people talk about that one. Also the fight between couture and mike vanardsdale quite a few years back was cool as hell to witness too.

I enjoy Condit/Diaz every time I watch it. Despite what nuthuggers say Condit picked Diaz apart for the better part of 25 minutes. Didn't understand the controversy, thought Carlos clearly won. I understand everyone thought that this was just going to be a barn burner (so did I), but I respected and enjoyed watching Carlos employ his gameplan.

Agree with this. I thought it was a very interesting, very technical fight.

Nick - Diego is one of my top-10 favorites. Both fighters showed a ton of skill, heart and versatility - perhaps one of Diego's best and I'd love to see Nick try to avenge the loss. No idea whether this one is considered 'unpopular' though.

Machida vs Shogun 1 - sure the decision was suspect but it was a great fight

Rampage vs Hendo - I list this in my favorite fights of all time but a lot of people think it was boring

Cruz vs Faber 2 - Very close fight that ended in a decision some thought was unjust

Aldo vs Edgar - Just watched again yesterday and it gets better with multiple viewings

Gsp vs Hendricks - This fight actually made me change opinions of Hendricks and GSP

Hendo vs Ace - Great fight that left both guys busted up but it was so competitive that people found it boring.

Hendo vs Paul Harris - A forgotten fight that had me on the edge of my seat for a possible H-bomb or limb removal and even though we got neither it was a fun scrap

Not ufc but askrens last fight in bellator, his ability to come out on top in scrambles is amazing

Barnett vs Noguiera……one of the best fights ever, hardly gets talked about

Or vs Ricco Rodriguez

Also anyone who liked Condit vs Diaz needs to be checked for a heart beat.
