Pretty much any of Tank's fights. Sure they were brawls. But no one can rightly say they weren't fun to watch (maybe the fight against Ferrozo).

That was Mayhem's last good fight IMO. He put forth a stellar effort and almost got Shields.

Newton/Saku is an unpopular fight? Maybe most of the neanderthals in UFC Discussion haven't seen, but I'm sure it's very well regarded.

I dunno, I'm not happy after some performances people praise, so it's very hard to think of a fight I liked that most didn't. The result of the match is likely what would have made me enjoy it. If I dislike a fighter, I don't mind seeing them lose via boring means.

I guess I never had a problem with Couture/Vera, since I felt Couture worked against the cage. I think Tim Kennedy is boring as hell, but he seemed to do his fair share against Bisping, such as achieving mount numerous times and landing some big shots in the standup.

I know we get a lot of unpopular opinions, and fav fighters threads but why not the fights you got into and enjoyed that others shit on for whatever reason.


Overeem vs. Werdum - anyone who knows me knows my incessant hate for anything heavyweight but I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed this fight. Overeem getting outworked in the clinch was a shocker, and the ground strategy (while failing horribly) was spectacular.


Severn vs Shamrock - Probably too old school for most of you but anyone who saw this slap fight knows what I'm talking about. If anything else for who these guys were made this fight a big deal.

What was spectacular about Werdum's strategy in that fight, other than that it was horrible?

sherk/Kenny is such a good one-sided grapplefest

diaz/sherk is a total stalemate for 15 minutes, but it really was a great matchup and the fight, itself, I've always enjoyed.

You has on the edge of the seat because you was overhyped about this fight. Nothing happend in that fight. Terrible fight, maybe one of the worst in the recent ufc history.

Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia is a fight I watch religiously at least once a month.

Pure mastery from Silva for about 3 rounds.
Too bad he ended up gassing and had to coast for 10 minutes after that.
It seems people only remember the end of that fight.

Yep! Being in the crowd for that fight increased that tenfold for me.
