even though osho was a sex-addict/criminal/junkie/fraud, his ideas on ego are great, a very insightful way of looking at the human condition and people's roles in society in contrast to the hard-line objective world model most of us are taught. his books had a very approachable and appealing narrative, whether you agreed or disagreed.
 
A certain Writer that brought not only literature and poetry... But imo Philosophy into the 21st Century.

Descartes actually believed in emancipation from church doctrine. Nothing wrong with believing, just don't be a slave to it. Make your own choices and judgments.
