And effectiveness continued to rise to what level? When it's a compounding problem, and the main goal is to slow hospitalizations to a manageable level, yes masks and every other limiting factor have value. Wearing a mask is such a weak thing to protest about. If you can't afford them I understand, even though a lot of places provide them free of charge, but to claim it's some infringement on your rights with lasting damage to anyone is pretty lame.

for anybody under 40 whos not fat or already unhealthy its marginal at best

thats why its absurd to make lil kids wear masks (unless you think vaccines don't work)
 
If worn properly, the cloth masks offer zero protection, the medical masks offer 10% protection. No kid is wearing them right.

This is just an exercise of power and control to condition the kids and their parents.

This is about obedience to authority. Leftist totalitarian authority. In this case it's having parties while ignoring the same rules they prescribe for the peasants, but it applies to just about every other area too. It's the same for climate change. They get to fly all over the globe and ride in luxury SUVs and eat gourmet meals. The rest of us have to live in caves, rub our hands together to keep warm, and eat bugs.
