So GSP comes back after a long layoff and finishes the champ of the higher division and becomes the champ, a big accomplishment for shre
But what’s even bigger accomplishment is that GSP is still a great mixed martial artist

Fedor and Silva, while good but they were never really complete mixed martial artists which is why they can’t win no more. GSP was the best mixed martial artist we’ve ever seen and ahead of everyone, takes a huge layoff and comes back and is still a very good mixed martial artist so he can still win at the highest levels

GSP is a top 2 GOAT candidate along with Fedor, depending on how you look at it.

But to keep things in perspective, GSP started fighting 2 years after Fedor and has less overall fights with 28 total fights.

I highly doubt GSP will be as impressive at 40 years old and 35+ fights.

If we sprinkle in CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio in the mix, and defended the UFC title only 3 titles, he could possibility get to 35+. But sadly Georges doesn't get showcase fights anymore.

Out of GSPs 28 fights, 9 of them have been against cans. So lets not act like hes never had any showcase fights. If you want to consider Matt Hughes in the second fight a can (some will, some wont) then thats 10 fights against cans.

Bisping was easy fight lol . His legasy didn't get anything with this fake title fight .

GSP is 36.
Fedor is 41.
That is why GSP is still good while Fedor isn't. (*simplified)

Its also impressive he never addressed his loss to hendricks

GSP is quite possibly the greatest of all time, but beating Michael Bisping is never a big accomplishment.

He's never had showcase fights. He's moved up through the contenders system. He was fighting poor fighters who were at his rank.

It's not like he defended against Matt Hughes then fought a Nigerian prince a couple months later.

But if GSP's career was treated similar to Fedor's, being fed a happy diet of canned soup, I'm sure his career would have been longer.

GSP has had his share of showcase fights. Lets not pretend fighting a 38 year old Bisping with one eye wasnt a showcase fight. I predicted GSP would beat the shit out of him and finish him as did any fan who has two eyes and a brain.

That's cute, did you have a good time? Did you put money on the longshot, just for a good time?

My point remains the same, if GSP fought pro wrestlers and had showcase fights in the middle of his career, yeah, he would likely have more fights too. Not a crazy opinion.

He came out of retirement just to beat the softest MW Champion in UFC history.

What i like about GSP is his stock is always high and he polishes his legacy like no one else.

Can you list these cans he fought and the W-L records of these cans?
Doubt you'll do it. Nobody likes their stupidity shoved in their face. And please use their records at the time of the fight, not their records after GSP took their souls.

Have to disagree.... IT IS A BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT............ just maybe not to you.. You a Bisping Hater?
