The double standard for this world salad attack is mind boggling. Have none of these people listened to Trump talk? Or is it just accepted that nothing he does matters or will change the way people view him.

I'd argue that in this situation the 'whataboutism' response is valid. This is how politicians should be treated. They should be grilled when given these 'world salad' type responses and don't answer the question. The problem is that only Kamala seems to get this treatment. It's like Trump is so far gone that no one expects him to act like an actual politician at this point that he escapes the criticism. There are countless clips of nonsensical responses he gives when he gets asked specifics.

For example, during this whole election cycle I can only recall twice where Trump or Vance were pressed how their mass deportation would work, despite it being pretty much their whole campaign. They refuse to answer the question because they know how gross that process would actually look like, but no one cares.
