You can't ignore a husky

I've seen some videos of huskies whining and throwing tantrums. They're def not for me.

But i'd be friends with someone who has huskies.

Not a fan of the breed, they're more inclined to let a burglar in and show them to the ice-cream in the freezer.....

I prefer Rotties, GSD's or Rhodesian Ridgebacks for home defence.

They'll let a burglar in as well. He just won't be getting out again. At least not until the dog needs to take a shit...

Exactly the #1 reason why I would never get a husky. If a dog would be chill watching me get assaulted or murdered, or if it would simply run and hide... I don't want that dog. This is why I got American Akitas instead. I got a Spitz-type dog (a Husky is also a Spitz), but one that is a protection dog. Bigger and meaner, and naturally protects.



Continuing on with the Akita... they do shed a lot like a Husky, but they're not very vocal. They tend to be very quiet and rarely bark.

That first one is a spitting image of one I had that died about 13 years ago.

My neighbor's husky thinks the mid-60's here are unacceptably warm, can't imagine one trying to live in Nevada or Arizona...

my parents have one. the sweetest dog imaginable. just don't get this breed if you want a protection dog. it will just watch as thieves break in and take your stuff.

Very true. It will want to play with the thieves and be petted by them. But the great thing about this breed is that within 30 minutes of meeting one you have a friend for life.

That's definitely a future breed I am considering, along with a Cane Corso. However, I disagree with your premise. The Akita is also an acceptable breed.
