Not mutually exclusive. Khabib was never in a close fight except for Tibau. Why should he rematch anyone else when he dominated them thoroughly?
 
Why would Khabib rematch McGregor?He demolished him and Conor has what? 1 win after getting humiliated? He's 3-2 in the last 5 years. Tony was on a 12 fight winning streak when he got his shot. McGregor shoudlnt even have fought Khabib in the first place and after he lost if he beat 3-4 good fighters he'd have rematched him but he ducked everyone and asked for Sanchez lol

another case of Joe Rogans biased commentary making people think a certain way about a fight. All joe was talking about was how big and strong Tibau was and how he was defending all the takedowns against the fence but was literally saying nothing about Khabibs pressure and ability to keep Tibau there defending chain wrestling and clinching.

Goats rematch losses : GSP vs Serra, Hughes vs BJ, Anderson vs Wiedman is no losses then questionable wins Bones vs Gus but Khabib won almost every second of his fight with Conor but if you really want to see 37 year old Tibau come out of retirement I am pretty sure the no longer 23 year old Khabib will be more than happy to put a stamp on that victory right now !

There's no reason to. Conor hasn't proved he could beat Khabib in a rematch even if he beats Dustin. Khabib steamrolled Justin, Conor and Dustin like it was nothing.

I think if Dustin beats Conor he deserves the belt. He will have a win over every big named LW not named Khabib or Tony and if either of those 2 want a shot give it to them in the meantime Khabib is retired.

Colby and Masvidal would be perfect, because he don't want to fight Usman

if he fight Usman, that would really mean a lot for his legacy

A lot of khabib's wins have asterisks imo. He has fought guys when they werent at their best. He's good at picking the right time to fight guys.

Yes, that would be 2 top LW wins for Dustin since his title fight. And should place him as the number 1 contender. Which is exactly what I said, and you replied to.

1 top LW win by Conor 2.5 years later is not enough to merit a rematch. It’s just not, and anybody that isn’t a Conor hugger knows that.

2-3 top wins is my criteria to earn a rematch. Especially since the first fight was not even close. You have to earn it, and actually give people proof that there’s even a reason to think it might be competitive. Otherwise what is the point?

But, tbh.. Neither guy has a holy hope in hell of beating Khabib and we all know it. But, if you’ve earned it, then it is only right.
