Yoel Romero vs Jon Jones

I want to see it and I want Yoel to be roided to gills for it too.

Also I want to see him train with Tyson to train to get to the inside

If Yoel was a dominant MW, you could have a case, but he is not a dominant mw. He is not even the champ, even if he got a few tries. He often struggle in his fights. Jones is not Brunson or Whittaker or Jacare or Kennedy... And Yoel struggled with all of them.

Jones is the scariest fighter in the UFC at the moment.
I don't think you know what your watching

I'll leave it at that

For some reason a lot of people believe Yoel is a dominant fighter. I suspect it is because of his big muscles, And the record they see at Wikipedia. They should watch his fights.

Nothing to do with the fact that he's the best wrestler and athlete we've ever had in MMA

that he can literally end the fight against anyone at a moments notice

Yoel doesn't necessarily "dominate", he paces himself, he's patient and he waits for the perfect moment. Then he just explodes and destroys you. In that sense, he is very scary.

Yoel Is stylistically a tough opponent for literally anyone in MMA throughout history at any weight class

You're making It sound like hes a bum or something.

I have seem them all. Great fighter, but not very dominant. He does However have some really impressive come from behind Wins.
His style Is not the dominate the fight from start to finish. He has to be far wiser with his energy. He's a patient fighter with high fight IQ. He waits for the perfect moment to strike and end the fight. He lulls you Into a false sense of security.

more like 6'4"

I thought you Dutchies understood dry humour

Yoel prob walks at like 220

He'd be a reasonably sized LHW, height and reach aside.

But yeah, high likelihood of a Jones decision.

he beats everyone tho, Yoel has a better shot than most. I'd argue even better than DC

There aren't many Interesting fights left for Jones, Yoel is def one of them.
There are new comers. Nothing is permanent. Even the great Silva eventually ran into buzz saws

It's because he hurts people.

He's great but not the best and dangerous but not someone who would ever hold a title for long.

No, not at all. He is a good fighter, And him exploding, And coming from behind is always fun And impressive... but I doubt he survives a round vs Jones. He struggles with a lot of mws, And Jones is miles ahead of Brundon or Whittaker. That is why I think it is silly for a mw to try And fight him. Especially when he is not even champ.

I personally want to see Thiago Santos against Jones. Thiago doesn't hold back, and is going to take the fight to Jones, win or lose.

Yoel would be interesting as well, but I think his style is susceptible to Jones picking him apart with his reach and size, and if it goes late, with stamina. If fight goes fast, Yoel gases.

Jones isn’t the kind of guy to lose to a Flash KO. He is However the kind of guy to take advantage of a slow starter.

I don't think you quite see the bigger picture my friend, to me this analysis is just weak and short sighted. I don't think he would beat Jones for the record, but you are not giving Yoel anywhere near the credit he deserves.

Brunson happened 5 years ago, there's no point even bringing that up.

Whittaker, along with Yoel is one of the best MW's we've seen thus far.

At the end of the day, styles make fights. Yoel Is a similar style matchup for Jones as DC, In that they're both legitimate wrestlers who can box / strike.

Yoel Is more dangerous as a striker than DC is though I feel, far more explosive and unpredictable, along with being the best wrestler we've ever had in MMA..though It can be argued DC has the superior MMA wrestling.

Again, you are In no way giving Yoel the credit he deserves. more than Half the MMA population believes he beat Whittaker, he certainly beat the living shit out of him In that 2nd fight.

Regardless of what you seem to think, he's a championship level fighter. Without question. This is just poor analysis on your part and I think you need to re-evaluate some of the things you believe.

Yeah

As of now, It seems like age will be the thing that beats Jones though.
Yep, age will be his undoing, That’s if he remains clean and continues to fight.
He is looking like an unbeatable animal atm.

I agree.

I'd consider Jones a very heavy favorite but I wouldn't count Romero out.

He got knocked out by Calvalcante at 205 pounds lol. Jones would make quick work of him. Romero honestly doesn't have the greatest MMA takedown defence and Jones length would be a huge problem standing or on the mat
