I start hitting them the first Sat of March then the first Sat of April, May and June. I love that mystery of not knowing what I might find. And those ridiculous prices.

Over the years my best finds all rock bottom $$$$$

Dan Marino RC
The Sun Records Elvis
Discovered the Jack Reacher novels
War and Peace
John Elway RC
4 CD set History of the Blues
2 CD st Stevie Ray Vaughn from the Beginnings
The whole Conan series of books
All the John Carter on Mars books
CD;s of early Bill Monroe, Gene Autry, Roy Acuff, Tex Ritter

So we are standing in line when I notice the guy ahead of me has some Bob Wills CD;s

Me.....excuse me, I;ll give you 10bucks for those (were a buck a piece)
guy.....sold

Good hauls, I should check them out but I mostly just sell newer sports cards on Ebay

I would never buy clothes or anything you plug in at a yard sale.

Got this thing about candles, have bought boxes full of them for a few bucks.

I don;t care who the author is or how important the book is.......50 cents..........very cool,

I don't think I've seen a yard sale in Florida before. I'm guessing they have them but since I've been here haven't seen one or signs for one.

When I lived in the midwest yard sales were big. Never found anything good to buy at one for myself but I've only been to a few.

I love yardsaling, tbh I love second hand junk from anywheres.

My fav yardsale finds:
Monster High Elissa Bat doll for $1 (sells for hundreds on the second hand market. I’ve kept her).
Cute vintage white and pastel colored patio furniture.
80s rock vinyl records, and Platinum Blonde, which immediately became one of my favs to spin.
A Kodak Vollenda camera from the 50s/60s.
Cute vintage bunny clock, it’s a bunny around a clock with a wood shelf and pegs under it. It’s a particular brand but I forget the name of it rn.

There’s a lot more stuff I’ve gotten over the years, the last thing I picked up was an original Xbox. I like the older stuff. That’s my jam.

Friend of mine and I used to hit them all the time. Best haul was a garage full of records and tapes for a 1$ each. Many had ticket stubs from corresponding concerts.

My stepmother's father would buy at sales all week and get a table at the flea market every week as a hobby/business. The reseller market changed.

Yard sales are fine. But start going to estate sales. Oh yessssssssssss please. In case someone doesn't know estate sales is when the homeowner died recently and you walk around the house and everything is for sale

I've only been to two but they were massively overpriced. Everything was like 80% as expensive as if you just bought the stuff brand new.

Has your experience been different?

Estates sales is where it's at. Garages sale are for when there are no estates sale to go to...which is never.

Lucky you, I would have loved that garage, probably having to go home to get more $$$$$.

I've had a few sales, now wish I hadn't, selling my comic books has bugged me for years.

I have noticed if the sign is well done and cool, so is the sale, if a cardboard slab with shitty lettering, yep, sucks. Unless right there I stopped trying to find those.

I do have a route/plan now, living in Cali worrying about gas$$$$ is a real deal.

Oh yeah, but as ya know you don't see that many of them. And things are a little bit higher priced there, not sure why?
I am a reseller. Been doing it for 30 years. You got know your prices. Also use your phone to look stuff/prices up on eBay. Last day of the sale is always half price.

I have a few websites that advertise the estate sales. I am sure it will work for you.

What city do you live in?

I;ll grab a beer Friday night to break a 20, ask for some fives and ones back, yep....for the yard saling.

Leave at 8am, pretty much make a day of it. I always have a 100 in 20's stuck in my wallet just in case I come across a must have and they know the true value.

this reminds me that i have a fuckload of old hockey cards sitting in my closet. i should look at those someday.
think i have baseball cards in my storage room too.
