News Yan vs Aljo OFF of ufc 256

I can't rationalize buying a Fig Main Event PPV sadly. I like him too, he just needs a strong card behind him. this past one was no chance in hell.

Helwani and Okamoto have both tweeted about UFC 256 in the past hour and haven't said shit about the main event being cancelled.

Like I said, it might be true, but I find it strange that the UFC's primary broadcast partner is refusing to even acknowledge the reports that the fight is off.
really? promotions dont like to reveal that kind of info for as long as possible as to encourage more ppl to buy the product. in the wwe (i know, different) but they will announce mtchups up until minutes before the show goes live and then announce it during the live broadcast even tho they knew weeks in advance. shitty, but they all do it.

Well theres no live gate and people buying the PPV will surely know who's on the card come fight night

So holding back the information of an injury doesnt help the UFC sell anything

Well at least Fig is stepping in to save the card and we get Tony vs Oliviera as co main. Lets just hope nobody gets covid, pisses hot or gets an injury.

That is quite a bummer. Want to see Sterling fight someone since he is a prospect now, but a huge fight for that event went down the drain soo...

At least we have JDS vs Gane

Nooo, it is legit. I saw other posts saying the same thing. A possible Sterling injury

Fuck sake. Was looking forward to that. With both title fights this card was straight stacked. On the other hand, thanks to Deiveson and Moreno it's right back to just being good.

Usman-Burns has been delayed for a while due to personal reasons for Usman too, I believe. Annoying. But that's life.

This card also lost Nunes-Anderson due to what I believe (but could be mistaken) was a non-injury related reason to the champ.

Even if that fight wouldn't have been exciting, at least Nunes satiates our need for blood and violence when fighting lesser opponents.

Uncle Dana is getting lenient with his champions in his old age.
