Come on. Any other ref would have stopped that fight. That girl was doing nothing to defend the 230 punches landed besides trying to roll from one side to another.

She could have tapped to strikes and stopped trying to improve position if she had nothing left. There was nothing egregious in that respect and at no point was she almost out.

The corner should take the blame in these situations in my opinion. It’s the referees job to protect the fighter but it’s the fighters or the corners decision to decide that they just want out.

Mario Yamasaki is the perfect referee for a Bloodsport Kumite anything goes promotion. Legitimate MMA promotions however need to lean on the athletic commissions to blackball him from reffing their events.
