Lol I love that this thread keeps getting bumped. How embarrassing.

This gif is cool and all, but the horses in the background???

Did Conor ask the county fair if he could dress as M. Bison and get some footage taken in the live events tent>?

I got Eddie Alvarez in a rematch.

There is a stereotype amongst Sherbros that Conor McGregor fans by large are relatively new to the sport and do not watch much else MMA wise other than him. This point is being proven by the minute, since the announcement of his fight with Eddie Alvarez.

Y'all really never seen Eddie have you? Perhaps 1 or 2 of his fights, right?

You may have seen him lose to Cerrone, his boring win over Pettis or even the dos Anjos TKO...

Michael Chandler? Shinya Aoki? Those names mean anything to you? ... Nah, I didn't think so.

Just for educational purposes, Eddie Alvarez has it fucking ALL!

- The guy has KO power in both hands.
- Crisp, technical boxing.
- Solid wrestling, with very good ability to control from the top position.
- Underrated and sneaky BJJ, takes the back very easily.
- Cardio for days, looks the same in rounds 4 and 5 as the first round.
- Heart for days. Let you knock him down or rock him, if his body lets him he'll keep coming.

People keep saying that Conor will defeat him with ease on the feet...

You do know Eddie's chin is probably just as good as Nate Diaz, you know Nate, the guy that Conor couldn't put away in almost 35 minutes of fighting?

Conor has a chance, he always does when it's standing, but stop talking about Eddie Alvarez like you even know who he is or have followed his career at all.

WAR ALVAREZ!

Conor haters are generally alternative fact type of guys...

You couldn't be more wrong.

You must be a total numbskull if you think one bad prediction means you know nothing about the sport.
The issue is you did not acknowledge Conor's mind games that cause his opponents to fight like a shadow of themselves (ex: Pourier, Aldo, Eddie, etc) Nate is the only fighter so far who was unaffected. Physical abilities are not everything in this case.

I don't think Eddie can be compared to any of them. Eddie literally went onto long pointless expedition too look for mythical "St. Conor"-creature. I can't believe how experienced MMA fighter would actually throw his own fight iq away and ignore strong sides of his opponent, only because there are "WWE fans who love Conor"
Compare to Cruz, who at least looked competivie against his own striker foe. Even if he got KO'd he would still was actually able to stand with opponent and make this fight even slightly debatable - "what, if.. roll it again" etc
With Eddie it was just a matter of time - the only strong side he showed at MGS was the ability to actually survive Conor's punches long enough to get to the next round. There is no debate here.

Eddie is definitely a proven veteran of the sport. He might not be as physically talented as Khabib or Tony, but he has more big names on his resume. He could most definitely shown a lot more if he was able to set the fight around his strengths. But he was not in the right mindset for it.

Q: Who would do better against Floyd in a boxing match: Conor or Eddie?
A: Neither. They'd both lose terribly.
