I think Eddie has a good shot and perhaps he should be a favorite, but he is a medium difficulty match up for Connor at LW. They both have offensive tools to beat each other. Eddie gets hurt a lot, and i did not like how his stand up looked in the ufc, other than in the RDA fight (tbh i still think RDA is a better fighter and I'm confident that he'll be back). He has good wrestling, but i'm not sure if he can wrestlefuck Connor. That's not how he usually wins.

I think McGregor is a much easier fight for him than Khabib. Plus he's gonna get paid more, so it's looking like a good night for Eddie.

I've been watching Eddie for years. He's really good. I fully expect Conor to put him on his ass early in the fight. The question is whether Eddie's recovery abilities kick in in time or not. He might have enough of a grappling advantage to dominate this fight, but I really don't think that will come into play until after Conor has blasted him and gassed. Eddie has a much better fight IQ than Nate though and similar cardio, so if Conor can't put him away, I expect a clean sweep of the later rounds by Eddie.

Can see Eddie taking punches. He's very hittable. Conor hits hard, hate the guy but he does. And he's pretty accurate. Kinda predoctable. Depends on the left far too much. BUT if Eddie can keep pressure on him. Not let Conor dictate range and press him to the cage and work take downs, his top game is very good and from what I've seen from Conor, he offers pretty much no resistance off his back. Eddie will feast. And seeing how Conor fades after the first round, this being a 5 round fight favors alvarez.

Eddie is the most seasoned elite veteran since Aldo that Conor will fight. The kicker for this fight? McG doesn't have enough time play mind games with Eddie like he did Jose. This will be the toughest fight that will solidify either how great Eddie really is or how exposed Conor will get once he's thrown in there with a well rounded champion.
