All these rumours of vince buying ufc shares are just crazy. WWE are in a win win situation here. Brock Lesnar will be a walking advertisement for WWE's big summer ppv, Summerslam. I also bet the UFC show an advertisement for the wwe's ppv. Its very very clever.

when you consider how many UFC fighters seem to enjoy taking a hiatus to make movies, it only makes sense to have WWE and UFC swap talent. working in WWE and making a movie is the same thing: cashing in on notoriety in the entertainment business.

super long term, it seems like WWE might get out of the ppv business entirely, which means they will no longer be a "competitor" of the UFC in that sense. its a good marriage.

and making "one night super fights" makes perfect sense for the UFC. not every fight can have the same stupid narrative of "im working my way to the title." some fights just need to be for fun, like the old UFC super fights or the pride model.

I get to see Brock fight again... and i don't even need to be an American to get hyped about that... the rest is irrelevant imo.

So what is the problem?

I also suspect Ronda may get permission to appear at a WWE show or two sometime in the future

Me thinks UFC traded their rockstar for WWE's superstar. I like it.

Everyone wins. WWE gets some extra publicity for Summerslam, UFC gets a former big draw of their's competing in an historical card to further spice things up.

UFC might even stand to gain more, since Brock has all but lost all his drawing power as a WWE competitor, whereas if Lesnar gets killed in the Octagon, it could possibly only damage his wrestling persona and make whoever kills him look good.

I don't watch the WWE, so I guess I don't win.

Yeah this.
People can hate Brock all they want but damn is it fun to watch him fight.
But coming back after almost 5 years... I wonder how much training he has been doing the last years.
