WWE CruiserWeight Classic

I'll admit I didn't understand booking it that way. It would have made more sense if they were planning a program between the two of them...but since it doesn't seem like they are I'm not sure why you make Gargano look weak when he's the guy moving on?

The objective is to show Gargano as a plucky underdog who pulls out the win after sustaining an ass whoopin' and for Ciampa to look strong in defeat (and show that he potentially could've won if not for remorse). These are guys that NXT tag division are going to be built around for the next couple of months at least, best keeping them both looking good, and I think they did that.

I don't think they made Gargano look strong at all. Everyone was happy that the 1-2-3 Kid beat Razor...but no one thought it made him a legit contender.

123 Kid wasn't going toe to toe with Razor and didn't kick out the Razor's Edge.

Saying Gargano was going toe to toe with Ciampa is a bit of a stretch with that match.

Just because he was taking a beating after that kryptonite krunch on the apron, doesn't negate the match before that.

That was their right cross that left Gargano stunned and struggling to stay in the fight.

Let's be honest...nothing from that match is going to be remembered pre-apron spot. You know that as well as I do...all anyone is going to remember is that Ciampa beat Gargano like a red headed step child and Gargano got a fluke 1-2-3 Kid win at the end. That's all I can remember...and I actually liked the match...but I can't wrap my head around why you would book the match that way if it's not going anywhere? It doesn't make any damn sense. Now maybe they'll use that going forward when they split these guys up, and all will be right with the world...but if not...that was a dumb way to book the match. No one in their right mind thinks Gargano looks like a possible champ for this tournament after that match.

Keeps Ciampa strong for nxt and it makes Johnny Wrestling look resourceful.

Finally had time to watch last weeks episode...damn that was good stuff! I hope Tajiri sticks around, he can still go. Both matches kicked ass, all four guys looked good and the stuff with Cedric after the match was pretty cool. With 3 matches next episode, I'm hoping the Chinese dude vs the Israeli Scotish dude gets the short draw...that match has shiz with a z written all over it.

Why did they make the shitty Chinese wrestler move on to the second round well the good one loses?

I would be lying if I didn't ask the same thing last week...also...what did I tell you about making sense? Stop that!

Ho Ho Lun is a bigger name in China because he's the first and that other guys trainer.

We all know that because they told us like 20 times...and we all understand why...but he still sucks by comparison and wish we didn't have to understand.

Opening match tonight is lit as fuck.

Gallagher is machine-like. Tozawa is controlled chaos. Both are able to do comedy spots and transition seamlessly back into amazing, credible action.

These guys are riding the edge. I can't believe how well their styles are complementing one another. I was not at ALL expecting this to be this good.

Whew goddamn that match was amazing. And that tie-up spot - I don't want to do a lame job of describing it, please just watch it - I earnestly found funny, and not cheesy. Not a lot of wrestling humor I can say that about at all. Not a lot of guys on any roster who could pull that off and make it work.

Geeeez it's gonna be the winner of this vs Gran Metalik ? wow that's going to be incredible

I've become a big fan of Gallagher and Tozawa and whilst I am not sure how well they can do on the main roster, I hope that they both get signed.

If it wasn't for his size, Gallagher would no doubt be technical, intelligent and charismatic enough to be on the upper midcard at least. Tozawa also looked great but he made Gallagher look so good in that match that he was a bit overshadowed. Great match.

Ho Ho Lun looked a lot better against Noam Dar but he still wasn't good enough to pass the first round. I have't seen much of Noam Dar but he has had the short straw in regards to those who he has worked with. Match was okay but I wouldn't be bothered if I missed it.

I'm loving what Brian Kendrick brings to the ring in terms of his craftiness, viciousness and his ability to make the other wrestler look great. Tony Nese is a superb athlete and wrestler, but needs character. Great match.
