International Wuhan Lab in China was awarded patent for live bat cages months before virus spread

The fact that they aren't providing the info means it is a lab escape. If they got nothing to hide then why are they are refusing to give the info.
Because even if it didn’t escape a lab, I’m sure that this info would show some other awful underbelly of China and how it’s run. I do and have believed it’s escaped a lab. But there’s a possibility it didn’t and if that’s the case I’m sure it’s origin is embarrassing in some way to the CCP

They absoloutly need to find out what happened for the sole purpose of making sure it NEVER happens again. This created something that will have trickle down effects for decades .I dont even care per se if they "hold them responsible". more so that they figured out how it accidentaly leaked and put in 10x the safety measures or just stop whatever experiment they were doing.

Im not suggesting giving up on the investigation, but given the lack of any evidence for a lab leak beyond circumstantial suspicion, I just think that the focus on that theory is a dead end. The evidence that would link either of the virology labs in Wuhan to this outbreak would likely consist of lab reports/documents, audio/video footage etc. To think that anything of that sort is still available to surface is really wishful thinking given the time that has passed and the nature of the Chinese government. The lab safety measures were already very good, as has been reported previously, and confirmed by the WHO in briefings.

In my opinion, if you are determined to ensure this never happens again, the focus needs to directed towards better understanding and preventing the spillover events that have caused all of the major viral outbreaks we have seen recently: Ebola, Sars, Zika, HIV. All of these threats to our health have come from a limited number of species that harbour a disproportionate number of viruses with potential to cross-over into human populations.

It makes me so sad that I'm seeing videos pop up from China's wet markets. I really think they should be banned forever, there's no reason we have to treat animals that way. Chinese believe in eating things as fresh as possible but it ain't worth the suffering the animals go through and the potential of another zoonotic disease. I'm not sure if that's what the origin is but to me it makes a lot more sense than the lab theory.

They could be hiding any number of things. Or just being China and uncooperative as usual.
What is there to hide in the raw data of the earliest covid-19 patients? Not like anyone is asking them to reveal other stuff.

Why throw Pakistan under the bus like that? Didn't they give China the wreckage from the crashed stealth helicopter that was used during the OBL raid?
The Pakistani elites aren’t going to say shit and the Pakistani population are basically cattle that are carefully fed what news they consume

This pandemic was bound to happen, it was inevitable regardless of where it originated.

Don’t believe anything that comes from Chinese officials.

What if it turns out that, yes, China created this virus and intentionally or unintentionally released it on the world?

I try to live by the golden rule as much as possible. Had USA been the origin I wouldn't want other countries to gang up on us and put us into further debt. I think China's problem is the cover up and lies. They should probably be held accountable for that. If they just came out clean i think we'd all be pretty forgiving

It could go south very fast in my opinion but I could be wrong.

There could be mass riots demanding government to Nuke China at the most extreme.

Not only in China should regulated in other asian countries my home City has disgusting Pig farms and now the swine flu has caused a shortage of pigs.

Factory farmed animald should be more carefully regulated yes it could produce cheaper pigs but there will be a point of diminishing returns where your Pig pile will get wiped out like every 3 years.

Back in the bird flu era its the mass produced chickens that got hit the hardest.

Then we would have to start asking why our government gave the lab millions of dollars. That’s real, by the way. During the Obama admin.

The US gives money to labs and research all over the world, nothing nefarious about it. It's to advance quality of life by finding solutions to problems. I recall about a year or so ago, the US funding some agricultural program in Pakistan that would increase the yield of fruit trees . Funding a virus research lab in China makes sense since a lot of pandemics emerged from that region.

Wuhan lab ain’t nothing to fuck with
