I live in Cali and I see jollibee all the time. I just assumed it's another unhealthy fast food chain so I never bothered. But apparently, it's some kind of Filipino food heaven? Anybody tried it? Can you guys tell me what's so special about it?

like wtf 8 hours? That's at least 2 meals there. I rather sit in a disgusting buffet for 8 hours.

The Chicken, Spaghetti and Hotdogs on that store are top notch. You need to try it, before you judge it.

You know, it's funny. There's a really large number of Philippinos in Alberta, and yet I've never eaten Philippine food before, and I can't recall ever seeing a Philippino restaurant ever, even though Thai and Vietnamese restaurants are ubiquitous, notwithstanding those are relatively small communities here. Maybe you've answered why.

Only because the other store owners next to the restaurant would call the police telling them that they smell something funny and that they think that there is a dead body being buried somewhere nearby

Tried it. How should I say it? Its like when you are a little 8 year old and you decide to put everything that you like as a kid on a bun including extra ketchup and meat without any of the vegetables because you hate those as a kid. Thats how jujuibee's dishes are

I have lived in NYC for years. I'm a foodie but also a fan of "dive" food if it is authentic and good. I have had great food from almost everywhere.... Including Ethiopia of all places. But some nations just have shit food and Phil. Is one of those.

yup, it really is. i had a filipino friend growing up, and whenever i'd go to his house, the entire place would reek of fried fish and hard-boiled eggs. i guess the smell wouldn't be so bad if you went out to a place to eat that stuff. but when the smell takes over your entire house 24/7, that's just nasty. no offense on my part as well.

Certain Filipino food do really smell like Fart even to Filipinos so I can only imagine what you felt inside his place you must felt like throwing up.

We have certain dried fish meals that when being cooked it really smells like Shit being fried and it really smells all the way to the neighbors house.

I have Filipino relatives in the USA they make sure they don't bring smelly food at work and at their house they attempt to contain the smell as you don't want the neighbors to get pissed off with your Fart food.

Seriously This is true.

Food preparation in the Philippines is still backwards food products are dirty as fuck so imagine all the bacteria we Filipinos eat I think that has something to do with our low I.Q.
