That's fine. In case you weren't aware, PayPal was started by Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, and Luke Nosek. It was then merged with X.com, which was founded by Elon Musk, Harris Fricker, Christopher Payne, and Ed Ho. At that point, Musk became President of the combined companies (which was still named X). Shortly thereafter he was removed and replaced by Thiel (and the company was renamed PayPal).

So I was merely pointing out that this isn't even the first time Musk would have been removed as head of a company he started.

He's technically savvy, extremely high level. You can find plenty of videos of the depth of his knowledge based on engineers that have worked with him on past and previous ventures.

He knows how to combine this technical level of understanding to scale his companies in a practical way. There are many engineers that can dream up what Elon has dreamt up, but very few can actually convince a team to do it. There are many corporate CEO's/upper management that can dream up the ideas, but cant do a proper feasibility assessment. Elon can.

While he's not a purely scientific genius, I would put his overall knowledge at genius levels. He's able to assess, gather a team, and solve extremely complex problems.

Secondly, you don’t help your argument comparing a 10K vehicle to a 45K vehicle, when the 45K vehicle outsells the 10K vehicle overall. Elon so dumb, he convinced millions of people to buy a car that costs 4.5x as much.

You claim that Tesla wasted time building a cybertruck, but no mention of using the exact same design cues and features and importing into the model Y, which will likely be the top seller this year….. your rudimentary line of thinking is mucho NPC.

People get pushed out of companies they founded all the time, but Elon founding Tesla is another of his lies. He was fired from PayPal, but held on to his shares, which turned into hundreds of millions. That got him into the first round of venture capital financing for Tesla.

Elon spent the next 20 years sucking the government tit for billions, without which Tesla would not make a profit. His cult of personality, before he decided to self-immolate, led to Tesla shares going into the stratosphere, as irrational exuberance took hold of people who believed Elon's outlandish promises that he never fulfilled.

Sooner or later people usually get the reputation they deserve, even if it is only posthumously. Elon had a good run but flew too close to the sun.
