speaking of old timers, i was looking back and saw a post by Machado Jiu Jitsu who used to mod here. he said he had been injured and lost heart in MMA, but i couldnt find out what the actual injury was. i'm just curious what kind of injury could keep someone like MJJ away. anyone remember?

MJJ actually hurt his shoulder somewhat seriously in 2002 i believe, then stopped training altogether in '03 cuz of it...

Yeah, Bryan caused some permenent damage to his shoulder. Abondoned BJJ and focused solely on college.
