Wrestlers You Dislike

Nothing against the actual persons, but I don't care for The Rock (he's entertaining on the mic, but I don't care for his wrestling skills), Rikishi, Jesse Ventura, Hulk, Brutus Beefcake or any iteration of him, Bushwackers (although I like the New Zealand Sheepherders), Jeff Jarrett, The Maestro.

Probably CM Punk.

He's cut the legs off everyone he worked with since he started at AEW.

Brock mostly, talk about 'ask for anything constantly and immediately get it, even if it sh*ts on somebody else'.

I got back into to wrestling a bit when WWE came onto Netflix and decided to go through AEW from the start as I read it was the workrate promotion.

Anyway I'm enjoying year one so far but Joey Janela might be the worst wrestler I've ever seen.

Edit - This crackhead looking Jimmy Havoc guy is fucking terrible too.

Oh and fucking Angelico, what the fuck is the deal with this lanky streak of piss?

Brock is the last true monster heel, has better in ring psychology than all these spot-junkies, and I enjoy the sweet tears of all these modern fans when he kills another manlet.

He's the only wrestler on that whole entire roster that carries himself like an old school territories style heel, from the moment he steps from behind the curtain every single thing he does and doesnt do, sometimes that is more important, is very much reminiscent of the classic bad guys that drew huge houses week after week in places like Jim Crockett Promotions, Mid South Wrestling, Houston, St Louis or the AWA

His ring psychology and the way he works the fans is very subtle, every movement, every sneer, every syllable is delivered for maximum effect and it is very beautiful to see for an old timey fan such as myself

Literally me watching Randy Orton remind me of the old days

You're not wrong Brother Pete. Dude knows the game like he was born into it (obviously), but he just never was it for me, and every time he's in another big angle I'm just...meh.

I got good news for you since you're starting from the beginning.

Neither of them will be around long. You'll be free of Jimmy Havoc in 2020 and free of Joey Janela in early 2021.

Thank fuck for that lol. I can only take Havoc bowing up and walking at people like he's the Undertaker while looking like someone who'd ask me for change on the street for so long.

The funny thing is Jimmy Havoc didn't get fired from AEW for sucking, he got fired from AEW and blackballed from the industry in the summer of 2020 after his girlfriend exposed him for domestic violence. The last match he ever wrestled was on AEW Dynamite in June 2020.

Some pictures surfaced a few years ago of him working as a deliver driver in the UK like a year after AEW fired him.

Watching it from the start I think this guy and Janela would have been a huge problem with building a new audience of new and lapsed wrestling fans. Sure there seem to be plenty of other shitty workers there like Angelico, Jack Evans, most of the women at this point, Evil Uno etc but the problem with these two is they're getting booked in matches with the likes of Moxley, Page and Omega and the top guys are only winning by the skin of their teeth.

I dunno what a WWE fan would have thought at the time thinking I'll give AEW a chance and seeing a former WWE champ going life and death with a skinny fat guy in ill fitting tights like Janela.

The likes of Jungle Boy and Darby are small too but at least those guys are in shape and have a good look to them (also helps they can work unlike Havoc and Joey).

I'll stop ranting now lol.

I dont mind the guys so much individually, but hated DX at its height.

Mercedes Mone sux
John Moxley sux

Wahoo McDaniel was the only guy with a Native American gimmick who I liked. I can't stand the rest of them because of the ridiculous no-selling, rising-up, war-dance crapola.

I probably haven't seen all of his best stuff but is there more to Minoru Suzuki than challenging his opponent to trade forearms and whatever his opponent does, sell a few a bit then stop selling them and sticking his tongue out with the odd submission mixed in?

I fucking hate this guy so far, he even managed to have a match I didn't like with Bryan Danielson, which takes some doing.

You're seeing him at 57 years old. He has 38 years of pro wrestling and 50 MMA fights on his body. He was gold until around the pandemic then he started to slow down a lot. Guy was still having classics up until around the pandemic. All things considered he's still decent in the ring with the wear and tear he has and his age. I really enjoyed the match with Danielson for what it was.

Through the 2010's in his 40's he was pretty much a guaranteed great match on any card when most guys that age would've already been broken down. In 2018 him and Okada had a 30 minute classic in the pouring rain outside at Suzuki's 30th Anniversary show when he was 50 years old. That's around the time he started to slow down and it seemed like time finally started to catch up to him.

I'll always be a fun of Suzuki, he was awesome for decades.

Cheers I'll give him another chance. I watched his match with Yuji Nagata at Wrestlekingdom 2013 and this Danielson one and they were both pretty much the same and I thought they sucked, but I'll persist with the fellow.

Obviously as an MMA fan I respect him for that.

Since I already said Cena, I'll also say X-Pac.

I do not understand the appeal with Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone. Both are sloppy in the ring and are only in the spot because of nepotism and famous family members.

Jey Uso is extremely overrated. He is a catchphrase. LA Knight is not far behind in that regard.
