WR Posters You Don't Agree With but Respect...

Isn't the ignore list basically like a safe space? We've conversed a lot and I didn't peg you as a type that would need one.

I have different people on ignore for different reasons. There are some people who I simply cannot have a pleasant or productive exchange with for whatever reason. There are people who refuse to argue in good faith with me. There is one guy who was spamming a long thread and I blocked him to read it better and just kept him there. Then there's people who are simply a waste of time and energy and are likely young and/or trolling.

I don't mind if you call it a safe space. Only a year ago I said I would never use the ignore option but it turns out it's a good feature for me. The bottom line is that it makes my forum experience nicer. Instead of skipping people's posts that I don't read, they're simply not there now.

To each his own I guess.

Pretty sure i've only ever ended up on one ignore list
I do believe I made ol @EGarrett hate his life for a solid week.

I don't know that there's anyone on here that I universally agree with.

Rod1
Panamaican
Gandhi
Lead_Salad

Are all centrists/conservatives whose opinions I respect. But 99% of the right-of-center posters here are depressingly inept.

The salad part makes you OG

ignore list is a good way of making the forum readable. About half of the people on mine have since been banned, and most of the remainder are people who appeared in the warroom as white belts, started shitposting, and never really stopped.

I've been here since 2004 and I've never had a problem reading the forum, I've never felt the need to shield myself, it's only a message board.

You seem to be under the impression that I'm "shielding" myself from mean comments. I'm not. It's pretty much just people who don't say anything on topic.

Fair enough, you're on of the few posters I'll give the benefit of the doubt to on this, everyone else I think is a pussy though :p

I just posted in the big one recently brosef. It was fun, but I think my flirtation with Peterson is waning.

everyone needs everything in moderation.

I have put on my ignore list anyone who came into the Venezuela thread and have the audacity to claim that their predicament (from the nationalized industries that was ran to the ground, to severe food shortage because their farmers can no longer grow crops, to plummeting oil production due to failing equipments, to a dictator that just wouldn't step down) "has nothing to do with socialism", or that they're not actually "real socialism" afterall.

That craziness is on par with flat-earthers, and is best swept aside of the actual discussion.

@Madmick @panamaican are the reasonable grown ups in the room. @lecter also (most of the time). @Bald1 seems to always give credit where credit is due which I can respect.

I respect @panamaican ability to form arguments. I generally disagree with him, but he picks positions well. Positions hard to open up and destroy. Unlike other liberals where logic is just out the door.
And you, I don't really know what to make of you're posting.. You seem to alter back and forth from a good poster to being totally batshit insane.

Pretty much anybody on here who isn't a troll, an idiot, or anymore of a prick than they have to be. I kind of half agree with most serious members here, whether they're center-left or center-right, so it's hard to be more specific. But I think you know who you are. Thank you for making visiting this sub-forum worthwhile.
This guy isn't kidding. I swear he clicks the like button on 90% of the posts in this forum. Haha

Did no one think to bring a cookie to this massive circle jerk? I have a stale cracker, but it's just not the same.

Off the top of my head, I have had some interesting debates with Greoric and Anung un rams, and while we don't always agree, I respect them. Fawlty and mick can do no wrong in my eyes, same with Cap Davis.

There are really only two posters that I have zero respect for and have long since given up any hope of an olive branch, unless I can shove it up their ass and roast them over an open flame, then piss on them and feed them to hiv positive stray dogs. Fuck those guys.

I like turtles.

Given the chance, turtles would kill you and everyone you love.
