WR Posters You Don't Agree With but Respect...

I think the real question is "posters you argue with but still respect." Like, I'd think that for 99% of us, disagreement is barely an obstacle to respect, but people who are constantly, aggressively posting shit you think is wrong are likely to lose some respect in your eyes.
Maybe i'm kind of an outlier because I spend a lot of time in here but almost never argue with anyone about anything.

You'd probably get a more informed answer from him directly, but from what I've observed, he strikes me as left of center.

He is definitely left of center. Pretty good poster despite his personal obnoxiousness.

imo, there is no maliciousness in his bigotry lol. i dont recall anything about him wanting to kill kids.

You should get to know him better. He wants to nuke the Middle East and has no problem with millions of innocent kids dying as a result. Admittedly. He also believes the earth is likely flat and that mermaids are real.

I'd love to know the guy behind the gimmick, but the gimmick itself is a joke, and far from 'decent'.

It isn't very hard to give most posters here the benefit of the doubt.

I don't agree on a lot of topics with posters like Rod1, Homer, Faulty (sp?) etc. but you can't get mad at words on a screen so... I'm probably 95% sure these posters are good dudes in the real world

I am fine with anybody who is not a fucking retard. seems like even common sense, let alone intelligence, is a rare commodity these days.

I can't respect panamaican. Dude tried to argue black crime rates were higher than whites due to racial profiling.

I just can't respect that level of willful ignorance and/or bias. It's sickening.

he at least tries to think through things logically and listens to the opposing side

which puts him ahead of like 90% of WR posters, even when hes wrong

Lol. I was giving him the gears in that thread saying Mexico culturally appropriated my Hungarian heritage because they used the same colors in their flag. I thought that idea was so outlandish that no one would ever take it seriously. He took the bait, but there was absolutely no heat in our exchange.

I was just screwing around in that thread, the same as in here. I don't have anyone on my ignore list, and doubt I ever will.

Right now I'm having a serious issue with @Rod1 in a different thread, and am thinking of puting him on ignore.

Seriously though, most of the regulars have something of value to add to their arguments, and I can respect that. Agree or disagree. Willful ignorance, deliberately misrepresenting counter arguments, non charitable posting that leads to dead ends, and trolling for the sake of derailing threads? Yeah, I have no time for people who regularly participate in those practices.

That doesn't sounds anything like the @Rod1 I know though.

There are a few issues that I disagree with him, but I respect him as an overall valuable contributor in the WR. Especially now when we are flooded with junk threads filled with shit posters.

Look one post up. ^ Just screwing around. Rod's cool in my books. The whole thing is based on a ridiculous premise that I ran with in order to mock the idea of cultural appropriation.

Myself and Rod1 got into it really badly once. One of the nastier exchanges I have had since I've been back.

Since then, we have been respectful of each other, and been able to exchange ideas.

Rod gets points in my book for not taking things too seriously, and being willing to start from a blank slate.
