If that bill were passed, weapons that are legal now, will be made illegal, and seized.

If you want to define confiscation otherwise that’s your prerogative, but it’s pretty clear what the intent of that bill is.

That’s not talking heads on TV, that’s not some soyboy on Huffington Post blogging about it, that’s real legislation, right now.

Scary.

They'd be seized if you're caught with them.

That's different from confiscation.

It's pretty funny how you guys like to use Doc Holiday in your memes... while you fail to recognize what he's fighting for in that scene is the confiscation of firearms from the locals that refused to turn in their guns when they entered Erp's town.
<36> anyhoo, whats all this about @Cint being a nonce?

National level - Yes.

-It should be federally mandated that all 50 states to participate in the requirement that ALL felons be registered into a database, and their records appear on background checks.

This would have prevented the Texas church shooter from buying a gun.

-Removal of the Promise Program. Police should arrest criminals, and not be federally compensated for not doing so to keep arrest numbers down.

This would have prevented Cruz from buying a gun.

-Remove the 'Gun Free Zone' label. Whatever school personelle who are trained in the use of firearms should have the ability to defend their students and themselves.

This would remove the perception that public schools are shooting galleries with zero resistance until the police show up and not cower outside.

State level - Yes.

-Get rid of stupid and ineffective gun laws that makes it impossible or very inconvenient to acquire and carry a gun, which criminals seem to be immune to, for some reason.

There's my proposals, Rational, to fix the problem of school shootings and high murder rates.

What are yours?

About to head home for the day so I can't hit every mark.

I think we should borrow from the Swiss and German models.

I think we should invest in education, healthcare, mental health care, rehabilitation programs for addicts and felons.

More guns isn't a solution in my book. It's just more complication.

The anti-Gun Free Zone thing is cute so I'll touch on that. It doesn't mean guns can't exist in the zone. It just means that the penalties for having a gun in the area are more severe. Many schools already have armed guards. Many gun free zones have elevated security already.

Do you think you support lowering the penalty for bringing or using firearms at a school? That's what getting rid of Gun Free Zones means.
