You don't have to be a filthy mongrel to get a fungal infection on your nail. Its very common. Also, I'm glad your weakness isn't something rare like a rock from an alien planet.

I’m beginning to think a two party system is an issue too. It would be far easier for people to not tie themselves to voting for a specific party consistently.

I think it’s fine to say both voting for trump and sexual harassment are reprehensible but of course there is no reason to compare the two and one is orders of magnitude worse.

Disagree. We aren't talking big picture here, this is a person in the group, normalizing and excusing that abhorrent behavior. It's not only been swept under the rug, ignored and excused, there are people even vouching for it.

I gotta re-evaluate that post of mine because I feel like everyone misread it. I was criticizing Trots' post and gently pushing back against Polish's defense of it. And definitely not saying anything about the two-party system or that it's good to vote Republican.

I don't think I need to say I abhore sexual harassment of any kind but I absolutely do.

The comment was specific about teens vs adults and what is forgivable.

In my mind HS sexual harassment is an action that gets you a detention or an ISS vs an assault which would be an action that gets you expelled or involves police.

It was a joke. But, yeah, I do in fact think that acting inappropriately when one was a juvenile bears far, far more room for moral explanation and redemption than an adult consciously supporting a right wing political party with no sincere, let alone empirically defensible, policies that is trying to topple liberal democracy for political power (and installing an undeniably dishonest and incompetent brute).

And, as i type it out, I don't think it's all that close. That might make dumb people incredulous but, hey, that's showbiz, baby.

And @Mr Holmes is a well above average poster for the right of center crowd. Top twenty percent easily.
