70-million-plus people voted Republican in the last election. There's no way they're all either of sub-normal intelligence or low character, as much as I think that's destructive behavior. People trust what I consider to be untrustworthy sources or they don't care much about politics, or they have an understanding of the left that is wrong, maybe too heavily influenced by non-representative members of the group, etc. I think the comment is fine as joke, but it shouldn't be taken seriously.

I’m beginning to think a two party system is an issue too. It would be far easier for people to not tie themselves to voting for a specific party consistently.

Drawing a moral line between harassment and assault is a useless exercise. I think that it’s reprehensible to vote for certain candidates but it is hard to compare that to any kind of abuse.

I don't think I need to say I abhore sexual harassment of any kind but I absolutely do.

The comment was specific about teens vs adults and what is forgivable.

In my mind HS sexual harassment is an action that gets you a detention or an ISS vs an assault which would be an action that gets you expelled or involves police.

But you're both right and I crossed a line.
