I think it’s fine to say both voting for trump and sexual harassment are reprehensible but of course there is no reason to compare the two and one is orders of magnitude worse.

Disagree. We aren't talking big picture here, this is a person in the group, normalizing and excusing that abhorrent behavior. It's not only been swept under the rug, ignored and excused, there are people even vouching for it.
