None. I was making a point about how treating an accusation of bias as some grave offense that requires a high burden is destructive and never done consistently, and Trots as usual lost his shit, and his manners.

lol pretty much. I remember staying in a cabin many years ago in Yosemite and we had been told that bears were just waking up and stupidly hungry.
we cooked up some righteous grub and damned if a big ass bear didn't spend about two hours ripping the siding off the cabin trying to get at it.

We might not agree on anything for the most part, and you probably won't like this endorsement but Trots is easily one of the most aggro posters I have ever seen on this website, in any sub forum. For a guy who is decently articulate and well read, he is abrasive as hell, which is strange since he does seem to want to debate for the most part, albeit in all the wrong ways and he holds grudges worse than almost any poster I've ever seen here as well.

I get that, but the point I was trying to make (probably badly) is The Wire as a show I think can impact people far more. I was talking yes how it personally impacted me but also how much of an impact it can have on the world as a whole. There's damn college classes in the Criminal Justice majors dedicated to dissecting at least the first 4 seasons of it and is CONSISTENTLY mentioned by folks when talking about police reform. Especially with how many of the issues the show insists on, are still issues.

So, fellas. My latest issue is that I might have a detached retina.

If anyone has paid attention over the year, I'm blind in my left eye. I was born with it. No big deal. But now I may have a detached retina in my good eye.

I'm gonna get it checked out tomorrow and the costs are cover for the evaluation. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I may need emergency surgery to fix it.

So, I'm here until I pass out. If I need emergency surgery and the smallest thing goes wrong, I might be blind. That's not even an exaggeration. So tonight might be my last night on the forum.
