Okay, cool conversation lol.

I don't know what accessibility has to do with my original point though.
It has everything to do with it. If the majority of people can't see it then does it really have a true impact?

Go back to the music analogy I used. Band A plays nothing but local to Washington shows and the folks in Seattle and Bellingham talk like it's the greatest thing ever and better than international artists the likes of like Tool, Eric Church, and say... Rammstein. Does that really matter though when they're only playing to crowds of 150 people... 75 of which is the same every place they go and the other 99% of the world will never even know it exists?

Sure, go ahead and name some independent films that hold the same weight as something like The Wire does but I would wager more people in the world will know of The Wire at least (even if they haven't seen it) than some independent film from England.

Because things like The Wire, BB, BCS are far more accessible than the stuff that is considered "cinema" in the same way that a major motion picture is far more accessible to your average viewer than "cinema".

Using "cinema" is super broad as it includes Euro release stuff that most Americans will never even know exists while stuff like the three aforementioned shows are known internationally.

It's like discussing music with hipsters talking about their favorite bands and how it's better than say.. Eric Church or like Tool. Like, that's great you think they're better but when it's only you and another 100 people that even know it exists......
I'm on team stupid hipster
Whatever it is they like I am certain it is better than Eric-fucking-Church

I would have went with to say there’s no plot in a number of tv shows is the stupidest fucking thing I’ve ever heard in my life but, hey you’re nicer than I am
Well literally no one said anything approaching that, actually the opposite. I said that if you are mostly interested in plot television is a more interesting medium for you.

What does audience size have to do with someone's belief that TV will never match Cinema when it comes to the art form of creating a movie?

I can't wait to lay awake tonight worrying about how stupid I came off and whose feelings I may have hurt in these 15 arguments that are going on right now.
Being honest I'm not angry. I just disagree with your take and using "cinema" when that includes some art house directors 15 minutes short of him staring at an empty dog dish that only he and his film prof will ever see.

You can eat shit good sir and I hope the Diaz brothers come out and denounce pot use just to spite you!

On that topic though, how is Jake Shields one of their training partners and he can't throw a decent punch?

Being able to see it matters.

I'm on board with saying just cause something is popular doesn't make it "good". Justin Bieber is a prime example of that statement. But by the same token, if only you and a small niche of people even knowit exists does it carry the same weight as something more well known that is more easily seen by more eyes?

Someone could be the next Michelangelo but if all he does is sketch in the margins of his high school journal does the artwork he does have as much wordly impact as Mikey?

I believe I used the term interesting not impactful and though I would argue that art can have a tremendous impact even if its exposure is limited certainly in a discussion about what is interesting that has nothing to do with it. If I am viewing something I don't consider how many other people it is reaching, only its relationship to me in that moment.

Eat shit and live, buddy!

Honestly do not get how his striking is so fucking abysmal. Dude slapped and clawed GSP into a mess, though.... also damn near blinded the dude.

I mean she’s not hurting anyone’s feelings but I guess we better not disagree with her at all or we’re going to make her lose sleep.
You're funny because you can manage to have a disagreement with someone without them even knowing it. I don't think it has anything to do with your capacity for niceness either, as you alluded to.

I've never seen an artform written off by so many people who have never experienced it.

Jake shekels is why I’m confident I could win around with GSP, I’m really good at slapping and open handed jabs to the eyes

You mean the quote in my Sig, that is literally a quote that another poster used and I just liked?
