After a few years English was one of my best subjects, despite having piss poor syntax if I don't pay attention. Some languages just don't cooperate. That's why I dig Spanglish. It just sounds right, know what I mean?
I do know what you mean. I use Spanglish when I speak.

The way it used would suggest otherwise.
Yeah it can be used pejoratively, so can “white.” I can also go in a court of law and use it as a descriptive term and not raise an eyebrow or have my neutrality questioned.

It’s the only word for a white person in the Hawaiian language. The only other possibility is ʻilipuakea but that specifically refers to someone with like porcelain skin. You don’t use that unless you’re trying to get laid lmao.

Popolo is the word for black people. It can be used pejoratively or not, just like haole.

I’m hapa haole and there’s no other way to say it. But now sensitive people want to do away with “hapa” too. It’s a word misused by the world by now anyway.

It’s not like the n-word or k-word or something. I’m just trying to explain since I’m probably the only one who can actually speak any Hawaiian. You wanna ban my language go for it, it’s not the first time it’s been banned.

Imagine paying for this forum dude, they had to get rid of the likes or the website crashed.

Honestly, I am enjoying my time here and have been posting here for more than 10 years. I have spent money on way dumber shit.

So paying per se would not be a big deal to me, but I cannot really ignore the years of malicious redirects I have endured.

That’s interesting.
