I swear this trend has made me stupider. I rarely look into most subjects anymore because basic (okay, above-average) reading comprehension will get me further than 90% of people I'm discussing with.

I thought about making an alt-account here called "NopeBot" that would exclusively post "that's not what that says" and "that's not what that means" and maybe "source?" just to see how long it would last lol.

There was a thread recently linking to an article about how Biden isn't planning to push for changes to taxation of unrealized capital gains and thus nothing will change and he's working on behalf of the rich against everyone else. Many people chimed in to support the claim, but none of them seemed to actually get what the writer was saying.

Lol I remember the story.

The one I had was this flamboyant patron was getting overly aggressive grabbing at the bounce staff and I finally kicked him out. Does the usual "ah, why blahblah" stuff with that high pitched voice and shit. One of the bartenders who was gay but was built like an NFL linebacker:
"IF THEY DON'T WANT YOU SUCKING THEIR DICK THEY DON'T WANT YOU GET IT?!"

The look of shock on the face of the guy we kicked out was priceless. It was similar to when you shut down a girl or someone from doing something and they're shocked that people don't want them around.

Hahaha yeah that’s funny. The guy was just so blunt about it. “LEAVE HIM ALONE!” plus mentioning a blow job came with the stern warning.

I think it was done to try and embarrass the guy a bit to get him to shut up. Didn't have an issue with them again after that even when I saw them at the other bar I worked at.

Part of that is the benefit of working a bar in a small town. All the staffs were friends with each other (except one bar which had a pompous prick of an owner that I quit on and... did other things on my way out which I can explain more if anyone wants) and tried to help each other.

Fight at the bar down the block, everyone but the door guy and one other run down there to help them break it up. Someone ran out of Jameson? Give them two of your spares and you'll get some vodka or whiskey that you don't normally carry in return.

The olympics thread is at least on brand because it's a competition to see who can get the gold medal in racism.
Much like the actual Olympics, I couldn't care less who comes out on top

Just judging by some headlines, I think I may just stay out of the WR today (lounge excluded of course)

Sid which ones don’t you like. Just curious.

In the restaurant and bar business you try to help out other bars and restaurants in the area if they need stuff.

Sometimes a palce runs out of bread or their CO2 is running low and they don’t have a backup, or someone’s ice machine broke for the night. You try and help out and then the favor is returned at another time.

I know it comes off weird considering I'm dating a little baby faced twink, but... he isn't flamboyant. At all. There's a difference between feminine and flamboyant, the former is set of largely innate characteristics and traits that a lot of gay dudes can't help. The latter is not.

Ok this is certainly a stupid and potentially insensitive thing to ask. But it's something I have never dared to ask the more openly gay folks I have known. What is up with the literally limp-wristed variety? You know what I mean. Are they automatically also considered to be more feminine? Is it learnt / acquired through social surroundings or is it something they naturally do when they can be themselves?

I never really understood how the wrist thing went hand in hand with their other behavioral features. But then again, I also am not intimately familiar with the inner workings of the gay community.

I can't believe the "Nazis weren't left wing" thread is STILL going. Holy shit.

What the fuck is up with the Chauvin thing too? They really took it to full blown left and right politicization, like that's "their guy" and shit. It's absolutely surreal but I'm surprised I'm surprised.

Y'all really crave validation from the one gay dude who posts here
Must be exhausting for @Deorum

One of the gay dudes I knew once called me one of the least gay dudes he knew. Due to my latent homophobia, this was consolation to me when really it probably should have rung some alarm bells. He did increase my gayness score rating when I got a new haircut and clothes.

Well it always follows the same pattern.

Is the victim black? If yes:
Does the victim have any kind of criminal history? (Automatically validates cop action)
Did the victim move in any way, including running away without being armed? (Automatically validates cop action)
If no: point to statistics saying Whites are victimized more often (automatically makes case irrelevant)

IMO they don't want to discuss individual cases. But that could also be said about the other side.

I don’t get the Chauvin thing. I know lots of right leaning cops and not a single one of them supports that guy. This includes a police forum. There’s almost zero cops I’ve ever heard defend Chauvin.
