No, I'm disputing this statement.

I think that what it is is that the physical response to fear is indistinguishable from the physical response to attraction.

Fear is also not so straightforward. Basic point is that emotion involves a physical response (for example, quickening of the pulse, shortening of breath, etc.) and an interpretation of that response (for example, "scary stuff is happening so I'm afraid").

Personally I think it's easier to explain fear than attraction (i.e. more straightforward). If you think they're equally mysterious then cool.

I acknowledged that basic point already. I'm saying it doesn't lead us to the above statement in dispute being true.

I also think this part needs work.

But what experiments suggest is that if people are afraid when they meet someone, they're more likely to be attracted to that person, in part because they're interpreting the physical response that they'd normally interpret as fear as attraction.

The phenomenon may be true, but the stated cause might not be. Maybe it's that that going through a fearful situation increases the urge to bond, thereby creating attraction.

Last I saw was when the brother and sister tried to have sex with Alucard. I certainly don’t remember that on NES.

I can't tell which Castlevania it's still following as the MODERN Castlevania has Trevor Belmont become Dracula after he kills his entire order of knights and Alucard is like his great great great grandson.
