The assertion that voter IDs laws are a form of suppression because POC are unable to get an ID.

Funny how many people who peddle that notion will tell you background checks to exercise your 2A right is common sense. And that poll taxes are bad, but no outrage over me having to pay a $100 transfer fee.

Can’t you just tell me?
some people are old and poor and don't have the legal documents to obtain a legal government id, and many of then wouldn't know where to go to obtain them.
If you were 80 born in the deep south at home and didn't get a birth certificate from a hospital or your mother lost it and never told you where you were born you couldn't obtain one.
It affects about 2-3 million people.

Now ask yourself why this has become an issue over the last 12 years or so.

So those 2-3 million people obviously don’t drive, receive government welfare, or any of the other things that require ID? I also don’t think the Deep South deliverance type people are too concerned with voting.

I can't say whether or not they drive, but they don't do so under a state approved driver's license.
I don't know the requirements or wiggle room on welfare. Not all IDs are equal or equally required.
Do you have data on deep south deliverance type peoples concern level regarding voting?
