Run for cover as fast as you can
"So run for cover as fast as you can
We're fighters, lovers, enemies, friends
And guns and knives, apologize for leaving you tonight
Leaving you tonight
"Over and out, " he sighed, "It seems I've run out of time
Please, tell my wife I loved her more than life itself"
Gorgeous. Just gorgeous.

Come kill me I move decent

I played 40k in school and in the service. I haven't played it as an adult on any type of regular basis. I still enjoy the lore. Once I am to old for jiu jitsu maybe I'll get back into 40k. I used to enjoy reading the books. I like the world more than playing the the game. But the problem with the law is I just don't have the motivation to read for leisure like I used to. I used to read several books a week both fiction and nonfiction. Now I am sure I read far more than that if you include my work reading but I rarely read anything other than short news articles for pleasure. I've even noticed I don't even like to read subtitles anymore.

I played 40K (as well as a bunch of other historical, fantasy and scifi tabletop wargames and rpgs) in primary school and early highschool.
Found the limit of my geek tolerance when I went to one of the big tournaments and stopped altogether (can't handle conventions like Worldcon either for that matter).
Couldn't get into the fluff though. Even as a teen I didn't think much of typical young adult fiction (although I still enjoy plenty of reading for pleasure, fiction and non-fiction).
One of my nephews surprised me by getting into a simplified version of Battletech (Alphastrike) recently, so I printed off a bunch of minis and have played a few games of that with him.
Of course he's 6, so it's not like I'm encouraging him to commit social suicide.
